Everyone seems to agree that Montreal and Radulov go together like peanut butter and jam.
Like lamb and tuna fish! no? Spaghetti and meatball?! |

Good write up.
Keeping Price should be a priority since I don't see a better option out there for you. Not crazy with that comment sounding like a blank check. He should sign a Brodeur-like contract to help build the team. |

Not happening, he's going to want a pay-day. Habs are going to over-pay and we won't have any offense for the next 10 years. |

I was surprised to hear Price say in his post season scrum that he wants to stay here, and that surely they'll work something out soon. He's really a masochist.
Still, remains to be seen if it can be done, and what the numbers will be. |

i think you're letting Galchenyuk off the hook too easily. he didn't necessarily come back too soon. could be that he just didn't put in the work required to get back to where he was pre-injury. |

The IceCaps are still in the playoffs while the Habs are out. That's kind of odd. |

What's more odd is the Leafs played meaningful games later into April than the Jays did. |

Yeah, that whole story is a mess. Either they'll keep him to see if Julien can help him turn things around by starting fresh from day one of training camp, but he's up for a new contract, and he has rights to arbitration. If it needs to go through that process, that often turns relations between a team and its player from bad to worse.
If they decide to trade him...well you are not getting a better player by trading him alone.
Part of the blame is on Alex Galchenyuk, but part of it is also on management for screwing with his development. |

for sure. if he's dealt it would have to be as part of a bigger deal where the Habs are upgrading offensively. otherwise you just have to hope that the light eventually goes on. |

I hope Julien can do with Galchenyuk what he did with Seguin |

i don't know i think at this point, he's 5 years in, he's got to take responsibility. he's been yo-yod a bit but it's mainly due to his inconsistency on offence and his obliviousness on defence. |

What they did wrong with him was bringing him in right away in that lockout season...they should have left him in junior the remainder of the year, and start him at center from day one of the 2013-14 season, and live with his mistakes.
Habs just came back from a poopty season, nobody was expecting them to be good right away as we all thought they would rebuild. There was no pressure to keep him then and absolutely win. |

Clearly his 27 points in 48 games, +14 differential is an indication that he was not ready for the NHL. |
