concerning Quincey , Jarmo has a high right now on Vladislav Gavrikov and he believes he can come in and replace a guy like Quincey. For Vegas , as stated in the previous blogg , my money is on JJ (unfortunately) , having Nuuti move up into a top four position might be too much for him to handle , even as a bottom 6 he struggled at times.

If Johnson does go to Vegas you will probably see a Murray & Savard pairing.
Personally I would protect Jones, Johnson & Savard. Leaving Murray available in the expansion Draft. If that happens Vegas will definitely take Murray which will protect Karlsson, Korpisalo and Anderson.

Also forgot to mention Clarkson will probably be on LTIR , so his salary might not count against the cap.

The JACKETS played over their heads all season, they played like Bums in the playoffs.

They came crashing back to earth against the Penguins. It was like watching men vs boys........terrible playoff hockey to watch.

John Davidson can say a lot of things publicly, I would love to hear some of his behind the scene closed door remarks, because he is a very intelligent hockey man.
John knows the sport well and he also knows this team. isn't near good enough to be a true Stanley Cup contender.

Even though John Tortorella will win his second Coach of the Year award in June ( and Congratulations for that ). Tortorella wouldn't win his second Stanley Cup in Columbus without some major changes to this team.

I am guessing the only games you watched were the playoff games. They aren't that far off, but frankly if Bob can't get it together come playoff time, no amount of roster tweaks is going to help.

Bob carried the team the last month or two. Once they clinched a playoff spot early their play really fell off. I think any Jacket fan who watched all the games can't be surprised at the playoff results. You can't just flip the switch and start playing well again. They were a very good team for very long streches this year, but they were clearly playing their worst hockey of the year coming into the playoffs.
