Nice analysis! Have a feeling this one is gonna be amped up a couple notches from a physicality perspective right out of the gate based on the way the last one ended with Petro's hit on Parise in the waning moments of the game. And Boudreau's comments afterward.... gonna be fun! LGB

I figured the Blues would lose game 4. I just had a funny feeling about the game.

I definitely think we will see a better team more like the first 3 games. I think we will see Allen be like Allen in the other games. He didnt play horrible in game 4 just a couple bad plays.

I like the fact that Minnesota has an extra flight under their belt hopefully that plays in to this game or series

Great write up Jammer. We are seeing the same things man.

I am still shocked there was no call when Sobie was cross checked. From the camera angle to the naked eye you thought he got hit by the shot. But, NBC showed the replay in slow and it showed a viscious cross check.

So face off cheats and inconsistent officiating...puck bounces, inches in closely contested games.

I believe I hit the nail on the head regarding the terrible Corsi narrative. It shocks me so many people watch the same games and think the Wild have dominated them all and then when you see the Blues chase you see them control the play more often. You have an old North Stars GM thinking break aways from offensive players cheating in the D zone is a sign of dominance. I saw this Wild team get utterly dominated in games I watched throughout the season(not these play offs they are close), and rely on Dubs to bail them out and lucky break aways or two on ones. I watched Zucker a few times leave his zone when a shot was taken against only to receive a hail mary that he buries. The score would end up 3-0 and because of the win streak no one seemed to note it was great goaltending and luck the cheating out of the zone did not catch them. This is a similar play all those years ago Chicago began to use against the Blues in the play offs and then added with Kane.

I agree it felt that way.

Kind of feels the opposite. The Wild are either going to be too tight ot just a tad too lose. They will make some major mistakes early. If the Blues bury those chances they win. If they fail they will give the Wild some life.

My likely bet is the Blues score early. Minnesota pushes too hard and the Blues go up by two killing the crowd. Then the game enters the dangerous phase. The Blues cannot then go to prevent. They need to cheat with a floater on the blue line to disrupt the point or back them off the line for a pass reception. This is where the Wild will win or lose the game. If they gamble hard and lose the battle it will create opportunities and I think will rattle their Dmen a bit.

There's an article titled Blues Still Believe They Are in a Good Spot. Really? Three chances to win one game can be considered bad?

""We get that win, and all of a sudden they’re second guessing," Minnesota forward Charlie Coyle said. "They’re still in the driver’s seat, but they’re second guessing. The pressure’s on, and now they’re thinking, ‘We’re going back home, Game 6, if we lose this one, it’s Game 7 back in their barn,’ and they're starting to doubt themselves. It’s such a mental thing here. That’s what you learn as it goes along. We just focus on (Saturday)."

Coyle understands he just looked beyond the game?

Typical Wild play going to try to injure the goalie.

That was over the the top. At least a two and ten....at least.

How many stupid penalties can a fourth liner take and remain in the line up?

I'd like to see that Wild goal from another angle. The Blues cleared the puck and Suter jumped off the bench to get it. What are the chances the other Wild players, that were still engaged in our end, had made it back for the change before Suter hopped on the ice?

irrelevant.

bad clearing attempt. He should have ate the puck. Sobie gets caught no where. All because of another stupid penatly by a fourth liner who continuously hurts his team more than helps them.

I want to know why Broudeau can scream at refs and whine all the time and seemingly gets his way? At some point he has to get told to shut or else. He was this way in his other two stops. That is why his teams choke when it matters most.

Wild are bound to go over the top in the second. Put them away. Two more goals and this becomes a bout of how stupid they can get.

Upshall and Edmundson need a coach's chat on the next off day. Some of their behavior needs to change.
