He deserved it. Not sure if he'll get it, but credit was given, it was due.

He absolutely will not win, but that's only because of who he's competing with, not because he's not deserving of a nod. |

Excellent Dman, excellent season, won't win it though.
Not enough flash and pizzaz.
Needs more Cowbell. |

he certainly does deserve it. he would get my vote.
out of the finalists I see it as:
hedman
burns
karlson
hedman is well in his way to being the reigning best dman in the league. he does it all. |

The Norris has always been favourable to offensive defensemen. Hedman is an amazing D-Man, If Defensive skill and Offensive skill were weighted equally I believe he would have a better shot! |

I think there could be an argument made for each of them. What Ottawa looks like with Karlsson on the ice vs not is remarkable...he literally is the outlet that powers that entire team. Burns is...well he's amazing and Hedman is as well. This is a tough year to assign the Norris. |

That beard has to be protected in the expansion draft.

Oh, I am pretty sure Burns is going to win. Just saying, if it's not Burns, it's pretty certainly Karlsson. |

Sorry, but you have it backwards. 2 of the 3 made the playoffs and only 1 of the 3 is going to the second round after being the mvp of the series playing on one broken foot. Voting is only supposed to be based on regular season but all you had to do was watch the games the Sens layed without 65. We would have finished last without him. I know youre a Sens and Karlsson hater but at this point you just look silly. Erik Karlsson is the best defenseman in the nhl. |

which metrics?
Block shots?
PK time?
Takeaways?
Giveaways?
Puck Possession?
It's funny the arguments people use to give it to Burns this year are EXACTLY the arguments people used last year for Karlsson not to win it!
Said about Burns this year that was true for Karlsson last year but WAAAYYY back then 365 days ago, it was a bad thing for a Norris candidate:
Leading his team offensively
Playing all 82 games
Franchise record with 82 points in 82 games
Leading the league for points by D
top in the league for assists (including forwards)
