You guys remember when we all were legit let down when the Leafs didn't get either the draft, or ASG for their 100, even though the Habs did, and rightfully so. The top dogs commented on how they have something planned that will make us forget about it.

Now, I first assumed it was getting Matthews.


But now I think the the Leafs bought this years cup.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are gonna win it.

This series could easily be 3-0 Caps. A few missed opportunities and a bounce or two and the Leafs could be as good as cooked. With that being said.... There was a moment last night in the second period that I really saw the dejection of the Caps players play. Even their body language was seemingly projecting an attitude of defeat. The Leafs forecheck was relentless and as the Kadri line came over the boards, Washington just seemed to slow to a crawl and their demeanour showed utter frustration and fatigue. In a close game versus an opponent that has been advertised as just a stepping stone. The Presidents trophy winners looked completely demoralized. They regrouped in the 3rd and put up a better performance, even dominated play for stretches but the doubt has...... Undoubtedly crept in.
