The only good thing about this series is that our very young players are getting experience. Sadly the lack of offense and the mistakes Bob makes in playoffs games are coming back to haunt us.

It is so disappointing to to see Pittsburgh play just like the CBJ did during the season when they were playing so well. Massive time in the opponent's zone because when it went deep there was always support for the man with the puck, controlled breakouts even against pressure, lots of help from the forwards when the puck was deep in the zone. Passes are quick and on the stick, with a second guy always ready for a rebound.

Right now the CBJ is just not good enough, and doing exactly the opposite of Pittsburgh. IMO Bob is awful and the forwards are playing poorly. What a horrible way to end the season.

All the best to Werenski on his road to recovery. He's going to be a star in this league for a long time.

bob has confirmed playoff demons , some goals are routine saves he did in during the season.

Best wishes to Werenski as he tries to heal. Bad luck, and what a gamer for trying to come back and play.

Letting in those bad angle goals with frequency. It's kind of the same thing that almost derailed MAF's career. I watched several BJ's games this year and it's hard to imagine it's the same guy.

I saw a quote somewhere from Torts where he said the Jackets lost some of their identity during that win streak, where they weren't playing physical and he wanted to regain that identity... do you BJs fans feel like Torts is pushing the team in the wrong direction? Why wouldn't he want them to play the way they strung together win after win?

He did makes some amazing crazy saves in that last game as well. I wouldn't put all the blame on him. Many times in this series the Pens coulda had at least 3 or 4 extra goals and he made unbelievable saves instead. The Jackets haven't been doing a very good job at limiting quality chances around the net or tying up sticks. Too much room for guys like Guentzel to put the puck on net and too much room for guys like Crosby to get the puck to him.

That said, they are in his head now and I don't see him being able to steal a game. If they win game 4, it will have to be on MAF playing badly.

I was actually wondering if getting swept could cost Torts his job. That's probably unlikely, but he has this history of not putting out good playoff teams.

He has them playing like the Flyers of the past and look how far that got them. CBJ has some serious talent and focusing too much on the physical doesn't tap into their full potential.

They deserve a coach who isn't going to having them ALWAYS use their muscle to win. That can be a good strategy through parts of the regular season, but it's not a recipe for success in the playoffs.

Wrong, Wrong, Wrong.

This is a great experience for the CBJ, even if they lose. There are something like 6 or 7 first timers in the playoffs on this team, playing against the Cup holders, and being competitive in every game. Take away some bad breaks and bad play by our top players, this isn't a 3-0 Pens lead.

However, you have accept reality for what it is; the CBJ are down 3-0 but it still the 2nd or 3rd youngest team in the NHL. This team is only going to get better in the coming years.

What we need to improve on IMO are: We need a better 3rd pair on D and we may already have it on the roster (Gabriel Carlsson, Markus Nutivaara). We also need more offense, and Markus Hannikainen, Sonny Milano, Oliver Bjorkstrand for a full season, and maybe even Pierre-Luc Dubois could bring more help from the AHL or Juniors.

We also need at least one more center who is a big-time offensive threat, and moves Wennburg and Dubinsky down a line.

The last big thing we need is a big-time veteran goal scorer who can play the body and put the puck in the net. Our forwards are four lines deep and can play with most anyone, but you have to have someone who is a guaranteed 30 goals 70 points guy every year and right now we don't have him. We just do not have enough offense against big clubs in the playoffs right now. Hopefully after the expansion draft and with several teams in cap trouble that guy will show up for us.

Yeah, it will stink to lose 4-0 or 4-1 to Pittsburgh after a 106 point season. But the future is now for them, and the CBJ's future is ahead of them.

Torts being fired? Seriously?

So you guys are happy with Torts? I've always thought the guy was a donkey and a poopty coach. (After his cup with the Lightning, he kind of failed to evolve his coaching and I still think it shows)

Some fans like him, personally I don't ... I think he hasn't changed and said anything to get a chance.

For example benching Saad who is a playoff warrior in game one is asinine, same for this dumfounded idea of playing a 20 year old with no nhl experience in Carlsson over Quincey.

I couldn't believe it when he got 1:25 seconds of TOI in the 3rd period. What the (frank)?
