Nice write up Jammer.

My guess is Polak's NHL career is done. Skating was what hurt his game and though I have not heard the extent that looked like mcl, acl and more. I just don't see him at his age making it back.

5 or 6 to 2.

Man the Preds need to lose more. They scare me more than the Hawks. Minnesota scared me more than the Hawks and no one seems to get it.

You were right on about Allen. I am a little surprised TBH. I remember three confident goal tending performance year in the playoffs in my history watching the Blues: Fuhr & Casey, the year Kypreos took Fuhr out, Elliot last year, and Turek's big round. I hope Allen holds it together mentally.

Also hoping Tarasenko breaks the goal scoring funk. He's playing well, just hasn't found the net.

How is everyone watching the game? I live in Florida. My NHL.TV subscription is blacked out, NBC (where it says it's being shown) has golf, and NBC Sports has rugby on. Is it on Fox Sports for you guys in St. Louis?

His minimalist helmet is my current favorite in the league. Slick.

Glad they got the win. Wish they wouldn't sit back like that...

I wonder if the Wild's bloggers are still going to say that Jake Allen isn't very good and that the Blues can't win this series?

Glad to see us win. This was a huge game in my opinion. I would of hated to go in to game 4 up 2-1. I believe this win will deflate Minnesota and with them not being able to solve Allen it's only going to frustrate them.

Not sure that was the Wild blogger. I think you may be referring to Tanner

The problem with relying only on shots is that it's misleading. In game 1, the Wild had a lot of really good scoring chances. A lot more than the Blues which generally translates into wins.

In game 2 and game 3, the quality scoring chance seemed a lot more even. The shot total doesn't matter nearly as much as the number of good scoring chances. Also, the Blues defensemen are doing a very good job clearing the rebounds for the most part.

Anyone else notice that Korac and JR called Schwartz's goal as Steen but I called it correctly on twitter

It's only because i had better seats for the game

of course, I paid for mine

Joel Edmundson should have gotten an extra minor -
Rule 39.2 -
A minor penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct shall be assessed under this rule for the following infractions:
Any player or players who bang the boards with their sticks or other objects at any time, or who, in any manner show disrespect for an official’s decision.

Very true. The Blues got outplayed in game 1 but I think there is definitely something to be said for ramping up your play as the series goes on. The teams that go balls to the wall right off the bat usually don't last.

You could also point at me, who said that Jake had a lot to prove this series. I also said that I didn't have a lot of confidence in this team.

They're proving to be more resilient than I suspected.

I'm so glad for it.

It was on NBC in Lackland,FL. I have been in Florida for two of the games. My buddy down in Clearwater has watched all of the games.

Also download the nbc sports app on your phone and just click blues and bam.

It's just people generally don't catch the holes in the games. The narrative will be great goaltending and the Blues got lucky.

Well I call bull on that. The stat police will cherry pick their stats and refuse to see the whole game, most people will not reqlize the BLUES HAVE EITHER LED OR BEEN TIED BUT NEVER have trailed in any game. And that is it isn't it. The deperate teams always start throwing pucks at the net as much as possible.

The Blues just play defense at the end and their breakouts too often were terrible. Well then you see Minnesota looking dominant. But it's misleading as the Blues have held the lead in most games.

OK, this was funny. From Jim Souhan / Minneapolis Star Tribune this morning:

"Three games into the playoffs, the best regular-season team in Wild history is winless and clueless, and the coach is selling the notion that his players should treat Wednesday’s Game 4 as if it were a Game 7.

Boudreau is 1-7 in Game 7s. He might as well try selling humidity to Missourians."
