Nice job per usual Michael. Will be an interesting off-season, starting with tomorrow's 2pm GMTM presser.

Btw, Nobody mentioned this, but, Jack may have been so depressed in his interview because he just lost $2m dollars, which is a lot, considering his salary is less than $1m, I believe.

our Defense is a train wreck and we can't score 5 on 5 (with the exception of Kane) #1 power play in the league that is something to build on for sure, however if we can't get NHL ready D-Men in here it will be the same thing next year. Plus our goalies have to learn to stop the puck in shootouts and breakaways, other then that I think the goalies played good enough to get us in the playoffs.

thx, turbo...just finished reading Sullivan's piece...says a lot of good things as he puts the onus for this lost season squarely on murray's shoulders...sully won't hold back at the presser

bogo is always hurt-- nylander looks like a 10 year old girl---eichel is a whiney puck hog and reinhart is an embarrassment to the male race

2017-2018 prediction: We ice largely the same team and hoover around 8th all season, never getting higher than 6th after the all-star break and never falling below 10th.

Thanks for pointing out games where they made comebacks or did a decent job of scoring as well as associating it with "opening up a little."
I feel like the reality is, playing a defense first style when everyone is healthy and losing 2-1 or losing in a shootout but winning when you open it up puts the blame squarely on the coach. I understand no coach likes a 5-4 game, but the fans sure do. Even if we end up on the wrong side of it sometimes.
This team looked neutered for a lot of the year. AND they lost.
you would think at some point Bylsma would have just taken the leash off. Especially once we were out of the playoffs....just try something different.
But nope, he's doing exactly what many Penguins fans told us he would do. Favor vets and stubbornly not change a thing even when it's obvious what he's doing isn't working.

I shouldnt be, but i really am shocked that this guy is behaving exactly like Pens fans said he would. Just doesnt seem very smart or good for your career.
You cant coach every team the same way because every team isn't made up of the same players.
Of course, Eichel/Rinehart shouldnt be telling the coach what to do. But at some point, a coach has to try something different to keep the ship from sinking.
He just kept plowing the boat in to the iceberg over and over and if he continues it in to next year, he ain't gonna be here long.

good point, I'm a big fan of a coach adapting to his roster, not the other way around...then again, there are people who claim that he didn't have much to work with...I don't agree with that completely
