It's disappointing to watch another season go by the way side without a playoff appearance, having to listen loss after loss on how the team came out flat, or not quite ready to play, the chasm between the players and coaches is huge, it was said time and again that players weren't following assignments or doing what was asked of them. my question is then, where was the veteran leadership, convincing the young players to play the game the way it is drawn up on the board, that way when it fails, it falls on the coach and all you read is how Bylsma needs to go, but when the players take it upon themselves to not play the game as it is expected of them it is hard to lay the blame at the feet of the coaching staff. I prefer not to follow Edmonton's rebuild model, it wasn't quick by any stretch of the imagination.

Bro only reason Edmonton is out of their rebuild and in the playoffs is they won McDavid lottery. That's it.

It is fair to say that Evander Kane's history of off ice issues, inability to stay healthy and is contractual status (one year away from UFA) will limit his value in the marketplace.

The Sabres have some nice pieces but they they do not have enough of them. It is unfair to blame Bylsma for this mess. Murray has squandered many top picks and made too many bad deals in his short time in charge. I doubt any coach could win with the defense the Sabres had this year. The mess is on Murray. If the Pegula's are to fire anyone, it should be Murray. They should hire a real GM, take a few steps back and don't cut corners on the rebuild this time

For starters, Babcock chose Toronto. The oilers were on a 10 yr rebjild and won mcdavid. Shut him down you shut the oilers down. Unnecessary trades to speed up rebuild is proving costly. Yes the Leafs making the playoffs in yr 2 of rebuild was unexpected. They still have flaws, especially on D. I still believe the sabres are 1 to 2 yrs away from being a contender if TM doesn't mismanage his assets. Bylsma is not the right fit for this team.

The losing has taken it's toll on Sabres fans who look enviously and angrily at the quick rebuilds in Toronto and Edmonton.
