Forsberg, that Euro scout, suggested that his game translates better to the pros vs the AHL...not really sure how that is supposed to be. At the same point, we need to gauge if he's a summer or a couple years off. That would probably be the determining factor in what to do with Evander.

Forsberg, that Euro scout, suggested that his game translates better to the pros vs the AHL...not really sure how that is supposed to be. At the same point, we need to gauge if he's a summer or a couple years off. That would probably be the determining factor in what to do with Evander.

Completely true. I think it will get done so long as something catastrophic doesn't happen. There were a number of high power teams reportedly interested in Antipin already so if he's leaning our way already (at least) then we're probably in a good spot. Not many teams can effectively guarantee you a top 4 spot and PP time.

AHL in general is a gritty league and nylander falls on the opposite end of the scale. I wonder if its like the playmaker who cant really pile up the assists in the ahl because no matter how many great passes he makes, the guy on the other end of them is a 29 year old career minor leaguer with brick hands? Im not saying thats Nylanders situation but perhaps thats what forsberg is getting at. That its hard to really see a scoring wingers talents on display when they cant get him the puck in scoring situations?
