He definitely meant to elbow Doughty in the face. I don't think Doughty sold it THAT much, he definitely sold it to an extent, though. I have a problem with the suspension, I think a penalty would've sufficed. Also, Kings players have apparently all become pussies because no one really defended Doughty. Pearson hit Tkachuk right after but that was all.

2 minute elbowing penalty IMO would have been enough. 1 game suspension MAYBE given the league knows they were going at it on the same play a bit earlier, but 2 games was a too much.

Agreed. Doughty got rocked by the elbow and getting hit with a bare elbow is bad but put a piece of hard plastic over it and then taking one to the chops is (I imagine) a helluva lot worse.

Not worried about retribution at all tonight! Anyone targets Tkachuk, will have lots of players on him!
If anything he's earned some respect from Doughty, and maybe a little room!
I'm sure Muzzin will be tracking Ferlands whereabouts after that hit in the corner that lead to his goal! Not bad for a 5th round pick!

And why wouldn't he? LA was desperate to win that game. But to pile on Tkachuk like this is pretty lame.

Yeah, it kinda just looked like Doughty got hit in the mouth by the back of Tkachuk's bicep. Not concussion causing. Ken Campbell wanted 10 games for that.
