Especially if teams think they can force the Hawks into letting Darling go to UFA by not trading for Crawford before July 1. |

Yeah, who needs a multi-cup winning goalie? One who arguably should have won the '13 Conn Smythe, still in his prime, and whose $6M AAV is a buy on the back end of the contract.
While I would hate to see him go, the 'Hawks may have to consider moving some salary. HRR-driven lack of cap rise and/or the escalator clause not being exercised could hurt high-salary teams like CHI. |
