Nice goal but Crosby's one handed, backhander, top shelf was something even Jesus marveled at.

Honestly, whoever made that commercial is in sync with my personal aesthetic to a degree which terrifies me. The music, the slow mo, the expressions, the one line, everything is perfect. If I was doing a doctorate on media studies, I'd write my dissertation on this work of pure genius.

I want to be best friends with the director.

it wasn't that good.

I am not sure if you realize it, but I think this is actually a parody of a beer commercial from the mid 80's. I can still remember it, especially the "boys, it doesn't get any better than this!"

Keller definitely looked hesitant and jittery, but overall was not out of place. Some sweet passes, some fast open ice rushes, and two takeaways from behind, Datsyuk style. He's everything Strome wasn't in his 7 game trial. Here's to hoping his 1 year in the AHL turns that around.

Coyotes will deal Duclair at the draft for a 3rd rounder, guaranteed

You're assuming Strome plays next year in the AHL?

He has 75 points in 35 games and him not being in the NHL is pretty much the stupidest thing I can think of.

Strome is the best player in the entire world not currently in the NHL. By about six miles.

I stand corrected. I meant OHL. I definitely don't think he'll play a year in the AHL, although if he shows up like he did last year he might have to play a stint down there. But I'm hoping he learned his lesson and thats not needed.

Thanks for this. Was wondering how Keller's first game looked.

I feel like Kovalchuk would do a little better than 75 points in 35 games if he played in the OHL last season.

No i was referring to Tanner saying Strome was the best player not in the NHL, which is clearly not the case.

Keller looked ok from my chair. He was hesitant to engage in any board battles, but given his size that's understandable. I would keep Dvorak, Domi and Duke together and put Keller on a line with Fischer and Strome next year. The future looks VERY bright but...

I had a lot of talks with a buddy who has researched not only the Coyotes dealings with Glendale, but also their financial situation (and before any conspiracy theories, he is an attorney at a major college and all of this info is public record from the BK hearings and further dealings with Glendale). The Coyotes filed a brief last week in court stating a major financial transaction was upcoming, and now there are reports that the minority owners have told Barroway he can explore buying them out. Not sure if the average fan knows the details about how the financing to buy the Coyotes was secured, but it was a lot of smoke, mirrors and a large operating loan that apparently is starting to be a huge problem with very little capital up front (not including a loan from the NHL to the new owners so essentially the NHL still owns a big piece of the team). Maybe Barroway and new owners can pay off the loan, take over the team and pay off the NHL loan.

Should be a pretty interesting few months here in the valley...

It's a shame the Coyotes blogger was watching other teams or he could have told you.

Anyone who plays the Coyotes or Avs the rest of the year should spot a handicap.

You don't think I could have given a generic scouting report? Even if I did watch the whole game, I would never have done that.
