I can see Biega or Larsen playing before Subban. I don't think its any of those you mentioned above, I genuinely think he is just BAD defensively.

Yeah, he's bad defensively in the AHL, imagine him in the NHL. If he's still getting scratched in the AHL then you know he's just not good enough. Offensively, he's definitely NHL-ready though.

It will be nice to see Gudbranson, healthy, play a full year. If he is able to bring team toughness to the rest, Great. I have never seen a team with less pushback, allowing other teams to run over their little guys at will. Tryamkin appears to have a full toolbox but might need a transplant to use them.

Our last 3 captains have been total betamales & the orca logo is the softest logo in sports. There needs to be a complete rebrand, but no sense doing it until the Sedins aren't the faces of this team.

thank AV for that. He created that culture of no push back so the team wouldnt be taking dumb penalties. But it went too far.

He also created the perimeter play still used by the vets on the team that stifles offense

3rd captain ago that would be messier. Wouldnt call him a beta-male at all. He was very tough and a leader. Alpha type.

update: that was from a list of canuck captains on the internet. But yet I recall Luongo was captain prior to henrik....not sure why luongo wasnt in that list
