Tough call. Sens are an interesting one. Playoff history would dictate that is who the Leafs would want but recent matchups in the regular season haven't been as favourable for the Leafs.

I think the excitement alone for either an OTT or MTL round would be crazy though.

Oh and nobody wants Washington + CBJ seem to always have the Leafs' number. Need to gun for that 3rd seed.

Sens - they're beatable and it keeps us within the Atlantic. If we crossover, the chances of beating even one of those Metro teams over 7 games is slim, let alone having to do it more than that.

That said, at this point, just being in the playoff picture is a nice bonus. Any games played more than 4 is a great learning experience, and nobody in their right mind would expect a cup run

I feel badly about the Leafs winning on Monday. They were basically gifted the game by a questionable call from the refs.

I don't see us beating any other playoff team, so I would prefer to stay away from Montreal or Ottawa since it would make me physically sick to lose to those teams.

If they make the playoffs I won't be disappointed in the team regardless of how well they do. Do you really want the pieces of poop from the Habs and sens fanbases in here chipring us though.

But think of the sweet sweet tears if they pull off the win though. High risk/High reward.

What is the difference between other fans chirping the Leafs, or our own fans chirping the Leafs?

2013 markmark just called. He said "(frank) the Bruins and they deserve all the bad karma they get for the next century".

Sounds very realistic. Over at the Canucks blog ppl would be saying 1 & done is a waste if it were us. IMO the Leafs in the PO's gives management an opportunity to further assess team needs going forward. A good test for the team to get their feet wet.

At this point it's, like you said, "getting their feet wet" or a 1-3% chance of winning top 3 spot in the draft. I'd rather them get a taste of playoff hockey even if getting bounced in the first round seems probable. Still going to draft right in the same range anyways.

One is done with the intention of being an bumhole. One is done from many decades worth of frustration.

Leafs are by no means a complete team now and the rebuild isn't done by a long shot, but with this many rookies, making the playoffs would do them a world of good in terms of confidence and experience, more so than a higher draft pick. Vancouver, which seems to be at the end of their current cycle, needs the better picks for a while

Yikes. Just saw the Ristolainen hit on Guentzel. What a dirtbag cheap-shot that was.

So...Bozak is 2 points from 50....something he was never able to do with Phil.

My conclusion....Marner > Kessel.

Is Guentzel hurt then? If so, who takes his place on the hottest line in hockey....need to know as there's hockeypool ramifications!
