No one needs a chart to see Phil isn't shooting. Until that shootout goal I was wondering if he may be injured. This whole team is doing too much passing though. |

Yikes, Geno out.
I wanted Phil dropped to Bones line, but not like this. |

It's honestly such a nice feeling knowing that Sid and Geno are on decent if not great terms.
It also makes those asinine assumptions that the two superstars can't coexist and "Geno needs to be the man" look extremely foolish. (Especially the E3 Geno to Chicago) |

Sounds like the Malkin injury isn't that bad. I think Sully said he's been dealing with a UBI for a while and they decided to give him the night off. Probably picking his spots with the weak opponent tonight.
It wouldn't surprise me if Sid gets a night or two off down the stretch. I'm all for it.
Edit: Apparently Rust, Letang and Ollie skated before practice. It's encouraging that Letang is on the ice. |

So how does this 4 call up limit work? Can we not call anyone up from now till end of the year? |

SO SICK OF THIS.
Been in a keeper league for 8 years and have had Geno from day 1. Every season I make the playoffs in fantasy hockey, and every season Geno gets hurt in the first round of fantasy playoffs. Usually they are legit injuries.. What'd he do, break a nail drinking Gatorade at practice? |

If that's the case why would they even send someone like Sundqvist down? Just keep him up and wait for another injury. Don't paint yourself into a corner. |

That's what I'm thinking. Since they sent him down I'm guessing I'm wrong in my assumption. |

So Geno "skated off ice on his own, collected his sticks and went to dressing room".....headache/concussion?...doesnt sound like he was in a lot of physical pain or anything...might be just a very precautionary move keeping him out tonight.
Either way the amount of injuries with this team is F'd right up. Unreal.

That's fine...it wasnt so bad they (him and team) thought he couldn't play or try. A bit of rest will go a long way for him. Part of me wants Sid to sit a week or so in the next month too. |

But here is the what frustrates me. He finished the CAL game played in the Philly game. Wouldn't it have been best to just sit him down immediately? At minimum, he shouldn't have dressed for Philly.
It's same story almost every game: Player seems to get hurt. Finishes game, even plays next game. Then is out for next game or more.
You'd think somebody on the coaching and medical staffs would have recognized this pattern and take preventive measures to end the cycle. |

I really hope his injury isnt serious so he can get back in time to help your fantasy team.

They can still do emergency recalls. If a team has less than 6 healthy D or 12 healthy forwards, they can call someone up, just until they reach the minimum roster requirements. |

Part of it is always going to fall on the player. They're hockey players, dudes play through pain all season long. If the guys not honest about it, no way the medical team can sit them out. |
