Carol Schram: "Reality has set in" as Vancouver Canucks shift their focus to the future General manager Jim Benning says the Vancouver Canucks will make a concerted effort to give ice time to young players and start their evaluations for next season now that they have fallen 12 points back of the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference with 13 games remaining in the 2016-17 season.

what's the over/under on Willie still deploying the lines the same way he did PRIOR to Jim Benning telling him to let the kids play.

"Willie is going to let the kids play"

Lines are literally exactly the same. Classic Willie.

maybe this just means Boucher/Goldy/Gaunce over Chaput/Megna/the rest in the long run. Still though, slightly pointless comments by JB.

The themed jersey thing has lost all appeal to me at this point, and seems a little wasteful? Though they probably Auction the jerseys afterwards or something.

Willie is going to be twitchier than ever in these last 13 games if he's forced to play the kids for more than 4 or 5 shifts.

If he doesn't I would think the statement from management pretty much says he's gone if he keeps riding Megna.

Thats what I was hoping was told to him around TDL but then they went ahead and collected a bunch of points.

When guys are back and healthy (thinking more of Goldoblin) I will be more interested in watching the games. The "kid" PP unit has been fun to watch of late

I slipped a couple of fingers into her hole, I could immediately feel it getting wetter and wetter. I took my fingers out and within seconds she was going down on me.

I thought to myself "I really need a new boat"

I hear you. Though should we see whose left to benefit?

Goldy bad timing on illness so that's on hold. Sucks for our entertainment. But let's see how next week goes with what 10 games left. Play him top 6 mintues. No time in season for anything less.

Guance. We know sort of but injured.

Boucher. Yeah has gotten something of late over nothing. So top 6 minutes in the cards from WD?!?

Cram. Scraping bottom of youth here but okay. Top 9 minutes?

Shore. Same as Cram but still new guy. So needs to earn new pay check $100k for a bakers dozen games.

Labate. Winner winner chicken dinner. Give him top minutes now or send back for Comets playoff push.

Sven and Bo. Time for 1st line minutes and deployment.

Tree. Try him everywhere for 20 plus minutes a night. PK, PP...deploy...deploy.

Stecher. Yeah he's good on use. Same with Granlund.

Anybody else?!?

Chaput you say? Okay. He's getting more then enough.

That leaves maybe any College free agent if signed and BB if there are games left to burn. A lot of ifs but hey okay.

The other youth in AHL like JV and Subban we know are not factored in for JB. They are staying put for playoff push. WD off the hook on that too.

Does this leave room for junior player whose season has finished on emergency call up like OJ?!?

Thanks Carol.

Glad to see some clarification that the teams goals were in fact playoffs the entire time, just like they had said they would be from day one.....

We have such a depleted team right now and I am happy to hear that Willie has been advised to give the kids some ice. It would also be nice to see some changes on special teams as well. Give Tree some power play time, for example. He has such a hard shot, if only he can correct his aim and hit the net. I am hopeful he will turn into an offensive D, moving forward.

I didnt tune into the skills competition, did he participate in the hardest shot? or was he in mumps isolation?

What no one has mentioned yet is the goaltending.
It would also be nice to give Marky a few games in a row and even Bachman 1 or 2 more.

Anyone over 3o..shut em down.
