with the isles resurgence, it's gonna be difficult to make the playoffs. but i'm sure the leafs fans won't mind missing the playoffs in light of how far the team has come the last season...

They're neck and neck with NYI and BOS. BOS has a schedule with some tough competition and lots of games against the teams that they're fighting for a spot. I think the aim should be Bostons spot for sure.

Lucas, no offence, but there isn't a hope in Hades that the Canes make up 10 points over the last 15 games of the season or so... not unless they play the leafs 5 times and win every game in regulation....

Of course not, im just saying in the big picture they are not all that far behind considering.

Leafs, Bruins, Isles will be fighting for that final wild card - and I think Leafs end up 3rd in Division.

The leafs had a 6 game advantage on the bruins and they blew it.
Gonna be tough for them to keep pace with the Isles and Bruins.

That would be amazing. I've never seen the Habs vs Leafs in the playoffs (thanks Fraser) and the Sens historically poop the bed in the playoffs vs Leafs despite regular season superiority.

They had a lead in every game against the California teams. Just have to learn to win them.

bruins and isles have been hot

they will hit a speed bump, leafs already hit theirs and are now picking up the momentum

I think all those Sens teams had Jacques Martin and Patrick Lalime in common... Neither is there now and a pretty decent coach is in charge plus a goalchie who can match up with pretty much anyone except Price who is the best in the league...

I don't think you can compare these Sens with the Sens of old...
