Button's mock draft has us taking Liljegren at 5 and says he is exactly what we need and that we need defense. I am still not sold on stoping to fill our offensive cupboards. I think we need another dynamic offensive forward prospect before we need to wait 5 years for a top defensive prospect to develope. I do agree the defense needs a major upgrade and even the cupboards could use some restocking but I think the need is more on the NHL level then the jr and ahl level.

Agreed. Hopefully they get one of the top 2 spots and can get either Patrick or Hirschier.

Defensemen like Brannstrom, Jokiharju, and Gildon will be in the second round. With 2 2nds getting one of them and someone like Anderson-Dolan(C) would go a long way. Gildon might even be there in the early 3rd.

Tippett or Rasmussen for sure, liljegren has been up and down a lot. Though his name would piss off devsfan30 so much I might be happy with it.

Pettersson looks good as well. Plays in the minor league version of the AHL in Sweden and was 1 point from being a ppg. Plays in a league above the rest of prospects both in our system and those about to be drafted.
