I think a lot of the improvement that fans expect from the Jets next year comes simply from within. I would expect that our current Jets core youth like Sheif, Ehlers, Laine, Armia, Lowry, Helly, Trouba, and possibly Petan will all improve with experience and more strength. I would expect Roslovic and Connor will be added to the mix as well.

Any moves by Chevy will be done once the season ends. I highly expect he will spend some money and add a top 4 defenceman through a free agent signing. That will be his big move. Probably a goalie as well. Plenty of them will be out there.

I by no means see a team that will not be improved, but yes, Chevy does need to act in the off season. It won't happen today. A minor trade at best.

I have circled back to the idea of Marc-Andre Fluery coming to WPG.

Would he? who knows but I Enstrom for Fluery may do it.

Pitt is right against the cap, they both make $5.7 but Fluery has 2 years left and Enstrom 1.

Pitt could use a puck moving skating D-man and helps open up space going forward.

Land Fluery and be aggressive in landing a second pairing LHD and a third pairing LHD.

I mean trading a Conner, Raslovic, 1st round picks....we need a stud LHD

I'm afraid that Maurice is now going to try to throw pavelec in as the starter..... chevy needs to trade pav so maurice doesn't shoot himself in the foot. man he's horrible!

6th round conditional for Stafford. I'm not sure yet whether that can become a 5th or 4th depending on the Bruins success but one would think that it only improves. I would tend to think that Chevy would not cause disruption to his whole family for a guy that wants to be loyal to the Jets for just a 6th round pick. He also is some depth in that last chance run for the playoffs.

Stafford for even a 7th is a steal for us. I'm glad he's gone. He makes us worse. That said, I hope he's successful in Boston.
