I guess tonight we find out if we should have looked into acquiring Bishop

Does he stick a fork into us?

Man these 4 games against LA are huge.

On the trade front, do you think we target anyone? I'm okay with our goalies and don't think that anything out there would be an upgrade at this point outside of maybe Mike Smith if the Coyotes make him available. If Buffalo is willing to move Kane, would you make a push for him? I know he plays Left Wing, I wonder if he would be able to move over to the right? If he could play with Mony and Johnny then it would be pretty great.

They want a top pairing D for Kane. Who would you give up & that will just create a huge hole. What's wrong with Ferland???

I do like the idea of Mike Smith. Wonder of we shipped them Elliott, Wideman & our 1st for Smith. He has 2 years left like Fleury & that would be perfect timing & I like Smith way more than that MAF option. But I am happy with staying the course with Elliott & Johnson this year.

I doubt LA is out if they lose this contest.

There are still 3 more meetings between CGY and LA after this tilt.

Pretty hard to make up 7 points in 19 games...it wouldn't be over for them but close

Follow @commie22 Mike Commodore. Good for a laugh, and he's nailed a few trades already.

Full NMC on Smith's contract. He is having a great season though. Would love to see him play for the Flames.

Chayka got quoted a while ago saying Smith isnt getting traded. Not that GM's don't lie sometimes to drive up the price of an asset..

There is a pretty good chance both Calgary and LA make it...I can't imagine the Blues are gonna be too motivated

And the Oilers could always lose 10 straight

x2

Never liked Smith. My (frank)ing blood pressure couldn't take him constantly running around trying to play the puck. I've watched him cost the Coyotes a game on more than one occasion trying to make a play he had no business making. No thanks

Stand pat, do some depth trades but nothing really big our goalies are playing good! Bottom 3-4 defence is now much more stable, no longer pilons. And finally some chemistry on the top line and the third line. 2nd line has played good all year 4th line has actually done there job for most of the year as well. Unless you can do a no brainer without loosing a roster player, then go for it, but why trade just to trade.

Elliott scares me every time he faces a shot.

I feel like most, if not all teams, have the same issues...defense and tending. The more reason to draft & develop smart, rather than over paying for someone else's developed product.

So? Do you believe there is a legit shot at winning the cup? Anything can happen I guess, but it's not likely. Why waste assets on a goalie when there is a larger need for a top 6 rw? Even then, unless you can get someone under 25 might as well stand pat and see what happens. I'd rather wait and see who comes available in the off season.

Just making an observation. Like someone pointed out the other day, the puck is staying out of the net which is really what matters. He just reminds me of Hiller where he doesn't look comfortable making first saves and therefore needs to make the great second saves, albeit Hiller never made the first or second save.

He definitely doesn't have the structure that Johnson has. I'm not sold on on them either, but I'd rather stick with them for the year. Unless Tre can get away with highway robbery of course.
