Good post JJ and yeah probably best to keep valuable assets instead of overpaying for mid pack rentals who will probably have minimal impact.

Hope the Hawks get some form of depth and maybe a guy with some edge and size.

Other than that we have a pretty good team.

I don't see how anyone can beat Washington this year. If they don't win it all this year, they never will.

Great post! I think we are going to be surprised with a big move today.

JJ mentioned that the hawks would be willing to pony up if it were the right player, and there are still some great targets available.

they would "trade" TVR for Oduya? I thought they were looking for D depth?

Powers - Chicago is shopping forward Mark McNeill and defenseman Ville Pokka leading up to Wednesday afternoon’s NHL trade deadline, according to a source.

Shattenkirk's defensive prowess will carry the Caps to the Finals.

JJ, you were quick with response. I didn't notice it was you, so I deleted. I jumped the gun on a joke on Eck...deleted.

As far as the rumor, I'd love JO back, but seriously who can stop that team in DC? They give up NOTHING on their team to get a good puck mover. The return was not really any better than what the Hawks gave up for Ladd....and I'd rank Dano ahead of Sanford. This for a puck mover versus a winger. Capitals got a great deal there.

I think the Hawks with JO can navigate the West, so who knows in a 1-off series.

They got good shutdown D...this adds to their already potent power play attack.

Bad news, they are worried about Hjalmarsson, heard that again. Not like, he's out or anything, because I heard part of the reason is not wanting to have to rely too much on Kempny too.

But we all know the refs swallow the whistles in the Playoffs. How does that help the PP?

So getting Oduya would just be a sideways move to protect against losing Hammer. And if TVR is part of the package then I could see some 3-wheel shopping cart come playoff time.

Yea good point. There are never powerplays in the post-season.
