Froese is pretty poopty. Tampa probably wanted him strictly for expansion draft purposes.

Froese is an AHLer but had the most goals of anyone on the Marlies. I don't view him as a prospect.

McKegg was drafted by the Leafs, played some games for them (more for Marlies) when they were awful and was traded 2 seasons ago for Zach Hyman. Not a diamond in the rough.

Would Nashville if Filppula would waive his NTC trade for him? They need forwards. We could take back Ribeiro and get a pick if they take Fil entire contract for this year and next. This is a trade I think could happen and actually help both teams.

Lol Toronto is a dump of a place to live? Wow that was hilarious i never respond to posts but I couldn't hesitate to respond to this one. Have you ever been to Toronto? My friend plays for the flames and I stayed in Calgary for 4 days to watch two of his games. When I was in cowtown I realized how lucky I am to live in Toronto and I couldn't wait to come home. Not to knock Calgary it's a cool City, however Toronto is beautiful you have no idea. Maybe you should save up some cash and plan a trip here..im sure you will change your mind pretty quickly.

And for the record, he is from Toronto..he and his wife can't wait to come back home here when the season is done lol.

Froese is 25. At best he'll be a depth NHLer, but most likely a contract swap on Toronto's end. the real deal was the 2nd round pick (highest one that Toronto has out of 3 this year) for Boyle.

Good trade for both teams. Kids on the team could've used his experience the whole year. Will be interesting to see if he re-ups with Toronto for a year or two, but for now its great to have an experienced player in the locker room.

Tampa would probably use that 2nd to trade for someone else at the draft, or move up. seems everyone says draft is weak this year.

Eklund is a fool if he thinks the Bolts are trading Drouin. Yzerman would be an even bigger fool if he does trade Drouin by Wednesday. All three of Kuch's goals were setup by Drouin in some fashion from where I was sitting in Amalie. Now they just need to finish the game strong, back to the seats.

Froese will be 26 on March 12th. Wonder if Boyle will resign in summer with Tampa or Toronto. Expect Boyle will be a solid addition to Toronto down the stretch. Good post.
