Has to be a match between Ducks and Bolts for Johnson - just makes to much sense -

Anaheim's apparently dangling one of their young D-Men, so maybe Fowler or Vatanen for Johnson?

I'd love Fowler or better yet, what about Erik Johnson or. Del zotto?

Toronto has cap space for filppula, what would Tampa give to get rid of his contract?

Garrison, Sustr or Coburn are likely available too. Not a big fan of collecting more draft picks since they delay on ice results and Tampa have enough this year with 8 picks.

I also hope SY does some buyouts this summer after the expansion draft. SY needs to clean up his cap situation.

No issue, John, with listing Drouin as a possible target.

I wouldn't be shocked if Drouin was traded since something still doesn't feel right between Cooper and Drouin. I might be 110% wrong but Cooper's treatment of Drouin after the All Star break seemed odd ie bag skating him since he was late returning due to travel ban implementation and airport issues.

Why would the Leafs want him? They have Bozak or Kadri as a 3rd line center for less money?

They would give you Filppula to get rid of his contract.

Buyouts are bad. Trades with retention are better.

Need a partner for a trade and no one is partnering to take Callahan.

Having a cap hit for 6 years for a guy not on the roster would be a tough pill to swallow.

Curious, what do you think the price on Boyle will be?

Eaves (g21 a16) is having a better season than Boyle (g13 a9) so doubt Lightning could get a 2nd with conditional 1st. Boyle might be better suited for playoffs but doubt he returns as much as Eaves.

Like manure it helps to spread it out.

Having him on the roster and losing better players due to cap is also a bitter pill.

Bad contract with only options buyout, Pronger approach or trade with retained salary. I doubt Callahan willing to be paid to not play if capable, so buyout or trade. Still think buyout would be easiest outcome.

The value of a guy that is perceived as a Defensive Center makes it close value.

Fourth line center when Stamkos healthy. We can review on Wednesday pm.

For the record I don't think Boyle is very good but many people do like him.

I would think that Vats is good as gone - I don't believe Murray is interested in trading Cam now - I also think both Shea and Vats are available with the emergence of Montour - perhaps even as a package -- Ducks also have Larrsson who is coming on now and Pettersson who I think could be a player down the line - he was 38th in 14 - & only 20 now - so lots of Duck dmen in the pipeline -
