Iggy will get a hat trick to enhance his trade value |

I'll give ya Hayes for Iggy straight up. |

From a Colorado perspective, what do you believe is fair value for Iginla right now. I'm thinking 3rd round pick, potentially with a prospect attached but what are the feelings from the fanbase? |

send him back to Calgary where it all began (and yeah i know he was drafted by Dallas)
but seriously....keep Matt, and Landy...these guys ARE NOT a dime a dozen.
Get rid of stiffs and driftwood like : COLDborne, and Soderwood, and end of the liners like Joni Mitchell, and Beau-she-man. How can they not build around Duchene, Mackinnon, Landy, Rantanen, Jost, Johnson, Barrie, Bigras and some of the other young guns?
Lets not blow the team up, just get rid of the dead skin ! ! ! |

We all wish him well but we want him out. Something like a 3rd round pick and a prospect would be considered outstanding. |

future considerations...
I guess it doesn't matter to the Avs if he stays or goes since his contract is up at the end of the year, but I have a hard time believing he could get much of a return. What would his cap hit be? 2.2-ish? Not impossible, but probably not super enticing. And the other team might have to send a guy back with similar salary and an expiring contract. My guess is that guy wouldn't be much worse than Iggy at this point. |

Retain the highest amount of salary you can on Iginla to bring in the greatest return.Makes no difference to the Avs what they pay Iggy for the rest of the year. I think a 2/3rd rounder is fair. Iggy is still the kind of leader you want in the playoffs, hes a PP specialist and given the right situation can still put the puck in the net. |

No problem. Not sure if it's a coincidence or not but my hockey fantasy team's name is "Putin's Angry Pigeon Army" |

It's faith.
Can you take a Schaller or a Nash for a mid round pick or 2? |

Personally I'd love to see Iggy go to a contender this year, he deserves a crack at it. He won't get resigned in CO next season and who knows what else might be out there for him when he hits FA. I would also love to see the core of this team stick together, change out the dysfunctional moving parts, fill in the missing blanks and get our sheeot together in the draft. It's still a young group with prime playing years ahead of them. Nothing's stronger than a group of guys who've gone through the dark times together and make the climb out of obscurity together. Put a collective chip on their shoulder and come back next season with an "us against the world" mentality..just my 2 cents |

3rd and prospect with the Avs retaining 50%, who knows maybe conditional pick turns into a 2nd depending on playoff performance |

Josh Bailey and a conditional 4th rounder for Iginla and a conditional 3rd rounder.
The condition on COL 3rd rounder is that if Iginla doesn't die on his way to NY, Iginla goes back to COL and the 3rd rounder becomes Matt Duchene. |

He'll be traded for a bag of pucks... maybe a 3rd probably even a lower pick. |

Is a douche, can confirm.
I would like to see him removed from television, land a gig as the Avs GM briefly enough to trade us Duchene for nothing, and then be strapped to a rocket ship and fired directly into a large brick wall. |

Take away the middle part of that sentence and that's totally fine |
