I read your article, you talk about potential, and his position as a RHD as tangibles.

But proof is in the pudding, Hes not good by scouts with eye tests and not good with advance stat nerds.

They could have got Puljujarvi but settled on a 3rd rd pick? Not following you here; can you elaborate a little further.

Drafted in the third round, played 324 NHL games then got traded for a third round (and possibly a 5th round) pick. I don’t see how this is a bad return. You take a chance on a third round pick. Most never see the NHL let alone play top 4 minutes. The coyotes got 324 games from him and then recouped their pick. To say “good riddance” is ignorant.

You’re now lamenting that the potential of the Coyotes defense didn’t pan out. Yet you continue to spew b.s. about how great Strome (and others who have never played an NHL game) will be. His brother sucks, he couldn’t hang with the team this year and he’ll never be more than a 2C, if that. I couldn’t care less about what he’s doing in junior. Look no further than Connor Garland to see proof that stats in junior mean (almost) nothing.

Murphy is not garbage and Stone is not terrible. Are they D. Keith, D. Doughty or B. Burns? No. But everything seems to be black or white with you. Either they’re the best or they have no value. I realize that you have to supplement your lack of talent with outrageous statements, but that just makes you the Jim Rome/Rosie O’Donnell/Angelo Cataldi of H.B.

With all that being said, why call up DeAngelo and not Kyle Wood?

Oh sorry then. I just figured if you actually read it you would know I think getting a third rounder for today's Michael Stone is a pretty big steal - like Todd said, his play doesn't warrant a roster spot on the 29th best team in the NHL.

Im shocked at well he is producing at the AHL level but the fact still remains the boy can't skate. He would get torched at the NHL level with his current skating ability. Dont think hes ready for the NHL shot yet

I feel like I write something, it travels into a mirror universe and then people read it. I mean, I'm reading your post here, it doesn't seem like we're talking about the same article. And I wrote the (frank)ing thing. I am not trying to troll you or be a Richard, but I have no clue how this could be your response to what I wrote.

Thank you. I admit I haven't seen him play and am only going off of the Road Runner's stat line. But hand-picking stats seems to be o.k. for JT to base a career off, so I figured I'd give it a try.

thats always been his major draw back, he has a cannon of a shot, big and fits a typical defensive dman based on his skating ability.

If he can work on that, he could be a good bottom pairing Dman. His skating technique is so awkward though, it will be tough for him, not impossible,

Hey James.....I like this deal for both sides.

Calgary gets a right-handed D-Man, who could turn his fortunes around.

If Stone can find his game again, he is nice 4 or 5 D-Man to have.

Arizona moves a D-Man who has struggled, not only on the ice, but with the injury-bug. As for the 3rd round pick, they could always move it at the NHL Draft, in a package deal of picks, so they can move up to get a player they desire. Or, they can keep it, and keep stock-piling on prospects.

I think the key in all of this, in my opinion, is they can eventually recall 21 year-old, right-handed shooting D-Man Anthony DeAngelo. There is a ton of upside and offense to his game. I know his defensive game needs some work, but Arizona is a young team, and they need to go through the bumps and bruises a young team needs to go through. Might as well have him be coached at the NHL Level now, and develop along with everyone else on the squad.

Arizona has a lot of young talent. Not to mention, they will most-likely land a top 3 pick....so the stock-piling will continue. These guys are going in the right direction.

I felt it was a fair return for Stone. He's still less than a year removed from a torn ACL, and he just looked 2 steps slow this year. I'd rather have DeAngelo up and playing every night than have Stone clog up a roster spot. I'd also like to see what Kyle Wood can do, and maybe we'll move Connauton to see that happen...

Of the pending UFA's, I would re-sign White and try to re-sign Hanzal. I know he's the best C available, but he's the best we have and maybe he'll take a homet own discount. One thing I noticed about last nights' game from my seats at the arena...The Ducks were taking runs at players and trying to impose their physical game, unless White was on the ice. They went after Burmistrov and Dvorak pretty hard and while advanced stats probably don't support it, I'd like to see White re-signed. Also, it made me chuckle how Kesler went after Dvorak, but turtled when Domi got in his face. Maybe he was afraid of getting his ass handed to him and knocked out again...

Anyway, here is to a busy week for the Coyotes and hopefully them continuing their winning ways lately...

During what window could AZ have sold high on Stone and acquired Hall? I didn't realize we tearng your ACL and MCL increased his trade value.

Wow, that really hurt. Once again quoting statistics...imagine that.

You're a hack. Do us all a favor and start smoking again. And if you're not already, start drinking and driving.
