I'm guessing the sun don't shine comment is for me. I agree he's a very good 2 way responsible center. The argument/discussion I bring up is having 2 younger, cheaper arguably better centers on the team. I initially brought up the point on trading him when discussing who could be traded regarding the expansion draft and it snowballed and went on longer than it should have and turned into I must Stepan. Good blog though as usual.
It's no accident that the clubs record over the past few weeks coincides with the resurgence of Lundqvist.
Because AV system encourages forwards to always be looking to break the zone with speed, the team will need Hank to make the difference. But then again, it's been that way for the past 10 years in one form or another.
As we all know, the game changes in the playoffs, the issue will be whether or not they can tighten up the dzone coverage, while not compromising their speed game.
It will be a very interesting trade deadline for the Rangers. Which issue will Gorton be able to address, and at what cost he's willing to pay.

Yea he was pretty noticeable yesterday.
The caps and first in the division are really within striking distance for the rangers... - rangerdanger94
While I would have no issue going through the Atlantic, Rangers just need to do their thing, and if that means going through the metro, (frank) the other teams in the metro

Zibanejad has 5 points and ZERO goals over his last 13 games. If you're replacing Stepan's minutes with Zibanejad, he better start scoring. #RawNumbers #RealFacts

Not only meant for you. Many on twitter with same view. Plus, not saying he won't be dealt before the draft due to his cap hit, need to pay others and a flat cap next year. But, despite his flaws, he does have lots of positives, even though he isn't the prototypical #1 or #2 center.
Similar to Jan, I really hate the review of the off-sides on goals. I hate it when it benefits us, and I hate it when it goes against us. Drives me crazy that a team can play in the zone for 30 seconds, and have a goal nullified when a linesmen misses a play that was off-sides by an inch.
I really don't know if there is anyway to have a middle ground on the off-sides review, but if there isn't, I am all for allowing some human error rather than having the rule as it exists now.

I don't have a problem with the spirit of the rule as it exist now, but of course the NHL can find ways to (frank) up it's own rule.

Problem now is Pete, every play has 300 angles and 50 replays, god forbid there is an offside during the SCF that leads to a goal, a lot of people will go (frank)ing bonkers.
With that said, I agree, I would rather go with human error, for or against. Only thing I think should be replayed is if a goal crossed the line.

they could make a rule that once the puck is in the zone for 15 seconds after the missed offside it can't reverse it
all the talk about increasing goals in this league and they are taking legit goals away
