If it's from Eklund then that means Carlo is most definitely involved.

Carlo & McAvoy are def not involved bc BOS needs to get younger on D and those 2 kids are the building blocks....

I see your point that Boston would be stupid to do it! But in order for that deal to happen one of them needs to be involved. Sakic has stated and it makes sense that he is not under pressure to make a trade right now! so he has the advantage of waiting it out! He will not do that trade just for the sake of doing that trade especially for what Works best for the Bruins, he will do it for what is best for the Avs. The avs aren't contenders for the next few years so that means they will not take the Bruins older defensemen!

I would include either Zboril or Lauzon in a potential trade involving Landeskog but McAvoy and Carlo should both be off limits imo.

Bingo!! They don't understand Sakic isn't obligated to give up on Landeskog or Duchene and trade them away for nothing like they are trying to offer! one of McAvoy or Carlo Will NEED to be included in order for Sakic to pull the trigger! if not Sakic will keep them and go along thru the summer and draft and sign free agents accordingly and go into next year with both Landy and Dutch!

Not sure if you're familiar with either Zboril or Lauzon so yeah you can look them up if you choose. Truth be told I'm not crazy in love with Landeskog while recognising he's a pretty solid top six guy. IMO the Bruins greater needs lay on Defense so trading a young building block like Carlo or McAvoy makes no sense to me right now. Bruins aren't winning the cup this year. Shortsighted IMO.

You don't understand Bruins fans aren't necessarily clamouring for Landeskog and if you'd poll them I'm fairly certain the greater majority would prefer to keep Carlo and McAvoy. What Sweeney is thinking could be quite different and ultimately it's his call obviously.

Not saying he won't include a Carlo or McAvoy but personally the trade isn't an exciting prospect for me personally.

Idk whats beyond Carlo or McAvoy for BOS but those 2 should be off limits and if there's other prospects that BOS could give up, so be it.
Also, even tho Landes & Duchene are nice players and maybe a change of scenery is needed but since both have been in league, they seem to get injured at the most important time of season, dont get me wrong, I wouldnt mind having either but im not over-paying for them either...... Sorry just my opinion.

And Clearly you don't understand that in Colorado's perspective in terms of what the fans want or of what the team actually needs is a top notch young defensemen in return for either Landeskog (most likely the one since he fits Boston's mold better) or Duchene. Sakic does not need to trade these guys right away! He can just as well wait till later in the year if all he is getting is a lower level prospect (not saying Lauzon or Zobril aren't good but they are not of McAvoy's or Carlo's caliber in terms of prospect). you got to give to get and you's don't understand. Lauzon has been injured more often in the last 2 years with concussion issues (he plays for the huskies which is 1 hour from where I live so I know!) and for Zobril if I'm not mistaken he was part of the Boston first round picks that didn't even pass their physical test the summer they were drafted and you think he is enough to net you our young(24 year old) captain and 4 time 50+pts season!?

Thoughts????

Trade:
2nd Pick for Sharp & Salary
Carlo + Beleskey & 3rd for Landeskog
Cheralik & Subban for Shattenkirk

Marchand - Bergeron - Backes
Pastranak - Krejci - Landeskog
Sharp - Spooner - Vatrano
Nash - Moore - Schaller

Chara - C.Miller
Krug - Shattenkirk
MacQuaid - Liles

Then you got MacAvoy coming up next year.

That's a fair opinion! and I do agree that they might need a change a scenery but not to be given away for B level prospects instead of blue chip defensive prospect of a young established defenseman! All I'm saying is Sakic is not in a position like he was with O'Reilly where his hands were tied and he needed to trade him. its different this time and he will not move them other than for what helps his team and not what helps the other team. We need young good defense otherwise Sakic doesn't pull the trigger!

Honestly, i feel Sakic has done a bad job and that a new Gm should make those decisions on trading them or not....
Just bc he's an icon in Ave's organization doesnt mean he's a good Gm....

Yeah didn't say Sakic is obligated to do anything at all. Just personally wouldn't go beyond a package headlined by either Zboril or Lauzon. Sweeney may value Landeskog more and he may be right because I think he's a solid player, but just not the highest priority for need IMO. And just looking at the Bruins organisation right now the clear need is to develop these young defensemen they have been desperately lacking(like Colorado) and to create a logjam of 50 point top six players isn't a prudent move.

Wonder if Sakic would be willing to take a Beleskey or Hayes if Carlo or McAvoy were included to help even out the money involved and to ease the logjam at forward for the Bruins? That to me, might make more sense from the Bruins perspective.

If Bruins give up a blue chip defensemen for a player that scores 20 goals a year and is currently around a -20, he should be let go by season's end. Do not give up the future to try and save an 8 seed roster
