I LOVE Landy....if they do trade him, I really hope AJ Greer pans out to be that type of power forward to replace what Landeskog gives to the team.

that stinks. Beauchemin sucks but to take on Beleskeys contract with how bad he is would be ever worse and hurt the team long term

I wouldnt do that, not enough for Landy and then take an even worse contract in Beleskey back (who is just Colborne but side for 4 more years at almost 2m more a year....yuck)

thanks buddy, what have I been telling everyone, the core is still good but they have surrounded themselves with garbage and that is 90% bc of Patrick Roy since Joe was getting "Patty Guys"

Beleskey has been hurt for a chunk of this season. He's signed at 3.8 Mil for the next three years beyond this season. He's a value signing and you can slot him into the second line. He's had some good years, I'd compare him to Jamie McGinn but he's a bigger body. We trade Landy for Carlo and a second (or something else), we get rid of Beauchemin and we bring in a guy who can put up some numbers if he's playing with good players. I like it

Why are the Avs bad is bc they have guys playing in roles that are not talented enough to do, which would just be doing the exact same thing by having him "play 2nd line minutes"

I really dont think you know who Beleskey really is, you are thinking of his one golden year playing with the Ducks that netted him that inflated contract. Hes a bottom 6 player with limited abilities. You can sign guys like him every UFA, hes a dime a dozen player, and not a guy you target in a trade

I dunno, there are mostly NHLers there but when your bottom 6 is made up of all 4th liners. Then you have an issue.

Nieto and Barberio are decent depth wavier wire picks ups, I like them, but they are now forced into big roles bc they aren't as poopty as the poop mix that makes up the rest of the roster.

Get Beauchemin, Iggy, Comeau (right now sometimes hes good) Mitchell, and Martinsen off my team and fired into the sun
