Good blog Jan. I'm not in favor of sitting Buch for Pumps but my God, it's a Coaching decision & AV thinks its best for the team right now & best for Buch for the long haul to watch 1 game, I'm not gonna question AV's moves. It goes back to being about the big picture. IF we win tomorrow night we're 20 games over 500 & would have won 7 in a row.

Twitter is the devil, I'm glad I don't go anywhere on the internet for Rangers stuff besides here & the Post, News & Newsday & I only have an account & post comments here. These Ranger fans (most it seems) have lost they're minds.

My take on Buch sitting is because they are trying to keep him healthy for a big trade. If not, I think AV has better idea that 99.5% of the Rangers fans on the internet calling for his head.

And you think he cares about what twitter people are saying? The man probably laughs his balls off IF he is even aware. He just got a nice contract extension, he's safe for a long time here & that's a great thing.

Quote isn't working, but I think it would be a HUGE mistake to trade Buchnevich like tom suggested. I have no problem with him sitting a game or 2, it could be great for him to sit. He'll get back in there but playing on the 4th line doesn't suit his skill set. Let him take a few games in from uptop and he'll be ready when the time comes to get back in there.

I'm not advocating it, but Buchnevich is the only thing of real value on this roster to bring back something in a return.

Great comparison on nyquist vs vermette. I know you cannot touch the ref but a slash to the back of the leg and not a hard one at that compared to a blatant spear to a guys face is ridiculous. Personally I thought it warranted at least 10 games but apparently the NHL did not, if that wasn't intentional then Idk what is. Hope it's a good game tomorrow Rangers speed will cause the isles fits in their own end should be a good one.

The Islanders period always give us the fits. I think after the pounding you got from the Leafs, coupled with the usually hype of the Rangers coming in, the Isles will be more than ready.

I gotta say though, these are the quotes that never come out of the Ranger room. It would be nice for them to get a little hatred up for they're rivals. Islander & Devil players especially get "it". They take the cues from the fans who hate the Rangers.

The league officials talk a good game about eliminating dangerous plays, hits to the head, etc,..., then don't back it up with harsh discipline. Anybody know if the suspension was negotiated down from something stricter?

Buch is never going to be the same with that back injury.
