they showed a graphic last night of the combined numbers that Elliott, bishop, and lehner have put up against Ottawa since being traded away.........I can't remember the exact numbers but it was something like

17-0-4, 1.21, 0.941

that's (frank)ing insane

Frustrating loss as Ottawa carried the play for the majority of the game. Those goals in the first minute are momentum killers. Next three games are huge (NJ/TOR/WIN).

Need 4/6 points to stay in a comfortable position.

The Bobby Ryan shot that Phaneuf scored on was probably the hardest Ryan shot the puck the whole year

He needs to find space to start shooting more. Maybe he can watch Hoffman

Where was Brassard last night? I didn't see him with the puck very often. Maybe it isn't all Ryan that disappears during a good game.

he came out flying in the first 2 periods on a line with pageau and pyatt..........in the 3rd I noticed him back on a line with brass and stone and he was practically invisible.

I think leaving him on that 3rd line will be good for him, playing with 2 guys who grind it out and work hard on every shift...........I think that could get him going. it worked out well for Hoffman when he went down and played on that line.

He does play the grinder role well, but Hoffman is better at letting Pageau and Pyatt do the dirty work, and float into a good spot to shoot. Ryan doesn't seem to know how to find space to shoot

not as well of Hoffman, but he is good at planting his ass in front of the net and getting the dirty or deflection goals

Yup

I'm sure the stat is out there somewhere. I would guess that more than half of his goals are deflections off of something

Dreher tweeted yesterday that Dorian is meeting with lazar's agent this weekend and thinks he may demand a trade

I'm excited to see Ryan putting up some points. hopefully this is a bit of a wake up call for him.

I'm still worried though, if we can't beat Buffalo, how are we supposed to compete against Washington or Chicago etc.

Having Duchene, Turris, Brassard as our top 3C's is starting to look more and more valuable every day

We can't compete with Chicago or washI goon in a 7 game series.....not without adding a couple of good pieces.

Adding duchene helps a ton but the holes it would create on our roster and in the farm system is probably not worth it

I'm not so sure about that. As long as we don't give up Chabot or White, we are flush with extra players right now that are replaceable. who knows what they would want but I think Ceci, Lazar and a 1st get talks started and maybe throw Dzingle in there too. that is a solid offer that would be good for both teams

Watched a highlight of Duchene's 2nd goal against the Blackhawks - was a sick drive.

His wingers? Grigenko and Colborne (combined 23 points all year - exactly how much the 'struggling' Ryan has). No doubt in my mind that Duchene would improve our top 6 SO Much and even could make the sens ice 3 solid lines

I would trade for Landeskog ten times before trading for Duchene.
We dont need another center, trading for Landeskog would fill the hole
on the LW left by MacArthur. I think he would fit our system better than MD.
Plus he would be playing with fellow Swede EK65.
But none of that will happen and we all know that...

The price for him will be way too high also........he's basically a 2nd line winger and we already have 4 wingers (smith, Hoff, stone, dzingel) who are on parents or out producing him.......plus ryan who has the potential to. Duchene and landeskog are good players but nowhere near worth the asking price.

I'd like to see Dorian get Vanek out of Detroit. Playing well and prob wouldn't cost too much.

14 g 36 pts 2.6mil cap hit.........plus Detroit probably only asks for like a c prospect or 3rd Rd pick (or maybe both). He's an expiring contract so you aren't stuck with him. Zero risk move
