Does anyone have clarification on what has to happen for pap to be traded? Is he offered for free to whoever put in a claim, or is he offered as the exact same deal? For example, if sj put a claim on him but we have a deal to send him somewhere for a second Rd, do they get him for free or the option to also offer a second round and if they do they get him? Any clarification is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Avs are going to walk all over the devils tonight. Youll see the Avs top guys thrive against a weak defensive core.

You mean just like they have against all those other teams, right? That's why they gave managed to put up all those wins...all 15 of them.

Rookie and backup goalies always beat the Devils. This will not be an easy game for the Devils as much as I'd like it to be.

They would get him for free since he was claimed off of waivers by us and they also put in a bid for him

just stirring the pot, its a tough go being an Avs fan nowadays. It wouldn't hurt to win, were so far behind a few W's here and there wont make a difference.

Always look forward to these games, rematch of the Stanley Cup finals, its just too bad were both nowhere close

I'm still a little surprised you guys are doing so poorly. Some serious talent and Jost coming up. You guys may honestly only want to trade Iginla

Yeah, I don't understand why they'd put Duchene out there. So young and still locked up in his contract. I'd chalk it up to a bad year, try to spend on some d-men in the off-season and maybe look at the coaching staff. Otherwise this seems like a team with a lot of talent that just isn't being maximized.

The guy Chris Ryan that took over for Chere said that the Devils can trade him to whatever team they want.

PAP is Devils property now. What you're referring to, I believe, would be if we waived PAP. He can be traded the same as any player.

No. The rule is since we picked PAP up from waivers (from the Islanders) any team that also put in a waiver claim on PAP but was not awarded the player (because he was awarded to NJ) would have rights to him if we made him available. So we could only trade PAP if that other team or teams that put in a waiver claim no longer want him.

What seems to be an unknown is if anyone else put in a claim for him. If no one else did we are free to trade him. Ray Shero certainly knows and will act accordingly.

(b) A Player who has been acquired by Waiver claim shall not be Traded to another
Club until the termination of Playoffs of the season in which he was acquired unless he is first offered on the same terms to the Club(s) that entered a claim when Waivers were requested originally and the offer has been refused.

They cant just claim PAP if we trade him, would have to match the trade.
