This has yet to be seen if we are being honest.

The blues are playing abit better lately and are still a solid bet to make the playoffs. Can't see them hurting their chances by unloading him for futures unless the return is fantastic

That said, they can get it if they want.
I doubt they'd even consider the 'conditional' first.
They'll get one plus more without having to attach any resigning clauses should they choose to deal him

And alot of the same stuff can be said for hanzal

If guys like Paul gaustad and Cody franson can get firsts, or kris russel can get multiple assets- hanzal and shats will easily bring that and more

Iggy's asking price is a 6/10, you gotta know he'd go home with a 3 or 4

If Subban had gone for a forward (or a package) we might better be able to compare the reported ask of Draisaitl, Nurse and the 1st. But since he went for another #1 RH D it is pretty much impossible to do so.

I can't see them winning the Cup this year either. But once you make it to the playoffs you just never know. I'm not gonna say that it for sure won't happen until it doesn't happen.

We are not elite, and are probably looking at an early exit. but we'll be dangerous.
A few bounces- talbot plays lights out- ya never know. It's a decent squad

I think maxbone mentioned it recently- there's a few teams like San Jose or Minnesota that would probably hand us our azzes if we met them.
But some other teams like Anaheim or even Chicago- I think we can hang in there

Overall I'm really satisfied with the progress the Oil have made this season. I no longer see a squad with gaping holes on the roster, but rather a squad that needs a few tweaks.

Conditional 1st and Davidson are the bones of the deal I would be open to. Conditional can be Cup finals OR he re-signs. I'm open to adding more, but the fact is that he's still a pending UFA who has reportedly had a chance to negotiate his next deal with several team (including Edmonton) but still is on path to be a UFA
