I think we're all feeling a little bit antsy about Lundqvist still, but, the Rangers are 2nd overall in the league in goals scored and if it's true that Hank has gotten out of his funk and is himself again, we feel really good about the team.

Lundqvist has never had an offense this good to play behind his entire career with this team.

How is the expansion draft going to impact what teams do at the deadline? With the depth to our defense, you have to think that one of our dmen is going to get drafted. We can't keep Josi, Subban, Ellis, Ekholm, plus forwards. What is the strategy?

protect the dmen and leave Smith or Wilson open to draft. you could also make a trade deal with Las Vegas so they don't take certain players you leave vulnerable. My gut tells me Vegas would take Jarny with the length of contract and yearly salary.

Jarnkrok is a goner in expansion draft unless DP can work some draft pick magic.

Smith "OR" Wilson? Who are the forwards you'd protect besides Smith or Wilson? Neal, Joey, Forsberg? So with Smith or Wilson exposed, you also have Calle and Arvy. If I'm LV, either of them would be preferable to either Smith or Wilson based on this year's performances to date. Fish is safe, too (UFA). Just curious where you place value, assuming the 4/4/1 option. Lots of talk and ideas out there.

I would protect Arvy as fourth. Like i mentioned before my gut says Vegas takes Jarny unless Poile works draft magic.

My bad. I thought you were keeping one of Smith/Wilson since you said you'd leave Smith "or" Wilson exposed not "and." I think those would be my four as well unless someone really morphs into some unstoppable force in the last third of the season.
