Absolutely, injuries are not an excuse. I hate people when people keep bringing that up, it's a loser's mentality. Plus, they have had injuries every season, including last season. Now all of a sudden it's a focal point? Barkov was hurt at some point last season, Huberdeau was hurt at some point last season, Bjugstad, etc.

That said, last year's season/team will never be able to be judged. Due to the fact that they went in a totally different direction in the offseason. It's not the same team, system wise. They changed that.
And I'd argue that it was a pretty incorrect analysis with all this unsustainable nonsense. Because then how would they explain the 25 point increase in the standings the season before last season?
