Well those shooting percentages seem to be the nature of the beast with Hall. He tends to just chuck it on net, which is fine, but a lot of his shots are very easy saves.

I'll take Moore over Stollery, but at this point I prefer Helgeson over both of them.
Stil want to know why Mozik can't get a look.

Gotta like Noesen so far and another good move by Shero.

Camm may still be putting up points but he was brought here to score and that has dried up horribly. And it seems that's what happens when goal scorers start declining. So yes, he's been better but it's a real concern.

We have, what, 2 years left with Cammy? I find it very hard to imagine we'll be close to the cap so it's not an issue. He'll be a depth forward.

I'd say Mozik deserves a shot but I'm more concerned Jacobs is still in the ECHL.

Jacobs is in the AHL not ECHL... Has been most of the year, played one game in the E at the start of the year, that's it.

Josh Jacobs is in the AHL. He only played the first game or so in the ECHL. But, he doesn't deserve a call up. Only 5 assists in 29 GP. He's a TWD, so he should put up more points than that. And he's a -5 in +/-. I believe Shero/Hynes calls up players from the AHL that have a positive +/-. See Blake Coleman, Pietela, Helgy, etc. When they were called up, they had positive +/- rating. Maybe I'm wrong, but seems like a common trend.

Noesen is good. But didn't Smith-Pelley seem like that guy late last season, too?

This team is confusing. This season is confusing.

I've seen that comparison a lot. Doesn't seem the same to me at all. We all knew what dsp was like and expected what we have now. Noesen just has an issue with staying healthy.

I agree Cammy is not a problem from a cap perspective but from a production standpoint, him falling off is a problem. Assists are nice but we need goals.

Who cares, if he's piling up assists that means someone is scoring.

One thing I don't understand is people saying, "player X sucks, we should trade him!" If he sucks who's going to want him. I want to trade Cammalleri because I think in the right circumstances (those being him waiving his NTC and the Devils eating some of his cap hit) he could fetch a good return for a team looking for extra scoring punch. Up until this year he was a first line player and he's still a top-6 forward. I also think moving him will allow the Devils to finish with a higher draft pick because he's one of the only highly skilled forwards on the team.

Well if your talking of trading Cammalleri, not scoring doesn't help his trade value. That said, I'm generally fine with moving anyone for the right return and I trust Ray completely regarding those decisions.

Stempniak brought a ridiculous return (and to be fair he had a lot of assists) because his goal total really upped his value.

Cam has 10 goals and 30 points. When Stempniak was traded he had 16 goals and 41 points.

I think we could get a 1st and prospect for him. I think he is still a 1st line LW, but with Hall he is bumped down, which is understandable. Look at other teams like LA, CHI, or ANA who could use Cam.

I think he's assuming we retain salary. I would if I were shopping him. We have cap room to sell in the short term.

Even if we retain the max salary of 50%, I seriously doubt we could get a 1st and a prospect for Cammalleri. With his injury concerns and term left on his contact, I don't see us getting more than a 2nd and maybe a 3rd or 4th back for him.

Maybe it's possible we could get a conditional 1st if it starts as a 2nd, but becomes a 1st if the team makes it to at least the conference finals if not the SCF.

I'd be happy to get equal or a little better of what we got back for stempniak

I think a #2 is feasible. Cammalleri with the right centerman on a better team could easily pot 20 a year, even at age 35 and 36. Veteran presence.

Perfect fit for Toronto or (gulp) the Oilers.

I think only a first would be possible if a team misses out on their guy and we retain lots of salary

1st just isn't likely, unless Shero has some photos.

This Devils team has $9M in cap space, which doesn't include the $9M that is tied up in Clowe/Savard. Its top 6 forwards are all under contract for at least 2 more seasons. Get what you can for PAP and Cammy.
