It sucks we will have to lose Ben Bishop due to the cap as soon as March 1st or at the end of year, I have faith in Vasy and his potential but it has been nice having Big Ben in the net for the last few years. To have a No. 1 goalie you can count on goes a long way, I hope Vasy becomes that. I wish Bishop the best of luck whatever happens and come March 1st if they are in contention for the playoffs they keep him but if they are out of it I hope his good play brings back a bigger return at the trade deadline.

As for tonight, good win and first back to back wins in a while... if they can pull out 3 points or more in these final two road games before their week long break that would bode well for them. But honestly they have 28 games left and need to play .750 hockey to go 21-7 to get to 96 points and I'm still not certain that is good for a playoff spot. Such a crazy year, this trade deadline is going to be interesting.

Interesting too see how the team approaches the rest of the season. With the number of good coaches out there right now we will really see the teams faith in Cooper. It would be easy for them to just punt this season out and increase the probability of Yzerman making a change behind the bench.

Hopefully the team has his back and can build on this 2 game winning "streak". Its wierd to even be discussion this after two straight deep runs in the post seasons.

didn't watch the game, but listened online.. was this really a TB "Dominant" win? Or was it just Budaj having a terrible game? 5 goals on 21 shots? also sounded like the breakout issues continued to shine bright all night long

and like the kings fan said...TB had a CF% of 38.36 while LA had CF% of 61.64 ..TB wih a sv% of 1.000, LA with a sv% of .750 lol

it is nice to win, but I don't think this is the beginning of a great stretch run. Just high hoping based on the season

Bishop looked like the Bishop of the past few years. The Lightning didn't dominate the game but they buried the chances they had and got a big win. They looked like the team we expected them to be. They seemed to play looser and faster, was a fun game to watch.
