That was an outstanding performance turned in by a former farmhand now Vezina candidate C. Huttstone.

Carter Ugh...

I think we looked really great tonight. Power play was outstanding!

We also really got a spark out of VDV's line.

Giroux played a really hard perimeter game.

Ghost in the press box is also a really good thing.
It really has to be helping his development and his +/-.

Our coach has really been stellar in his never wavering tight structure of college hockey and the death stare seems to be really working on Multimillionaires/millionaires and 100kaires.

I totally see sitting Ghost, he may not get a Lettermens jacket in hockey this season.

Brilliant post and I agree totally with your mocking assessment, lol Haskol's days should be numbered. He has succeeded in finding a way to demoralize this team and screw up every line not to mention missing Gostisbehere's mobility on the pp. I realize the Gost has shortcomings on D but he does move the puck on the pp and we all know Giroux works well with him. I am so upset with the brand of hockey being played by the Flyers. I will say no more.

Nothing is gonna change until Haskol is canned. When a team is that pathetic it has to fall back on the coach. It does not get more feeble or soft or heartless than this. This group is not on the same page right now.

This team makes every back up goalie in the league look like Carey Price. When a team plays this pathetic somebody has to take the fall and as much as I want to blame a couple players the guy responsible is Haskol and if Hextall does not do something he is going to lose his job too. Patience is good but this is going to far!

Team posted 96 points last year and is playoff position (somehow) this season. Hakstol, for whatever his real and imagined flaws, isn't going to be fired. He gets at least one more season, especially since Hextall hand-picked him. Also, a change behind the bench isn't going to fix the personnel issues any more than the change from Chief to Hakstol. The team ideally needs an entire additional scoring line and for their young Dmen to mature fast (with Gostisbehere returning to his rookie form).

Hextall will not lose his job, he will not can the coach.
this much we know
how does he look scratching ghost, and they get shutout twice?
like no one else is committing turnovers but him?
they look as boring, and listless as the guy behind the bench.

The sky isn't falling. The Flyers are a bubble team that has been making over the farm system simultaneously (with encouraging signs). No more and no less.

Ghost probably needs one more shutout loss to learn his lesson.

I know I may be over reacting Bill but losing is not in my DNA. That is why I am a Flyers fan living in BC, home of the Canucks. I watch every flyer game and have not missed a game in years. I just think that Coach Haskol has taken the offense out of every single line. Why put a weak offensive player with 28 and 83, why break up 17 and 10 when they work so well together. Simmonds had his worst game of the year tonite and last weekend he looked amazing. Something is wrong when you make opposing goalies look like Price. Budha shuts us out and allow 4 goals on 15 shots the next day. Hutton was not tested tonite, no sustained pressure at any time. Get Gost back in there, could have made a dif in ot loss, his puck movement is missed on the pp. His defence is not going to improve in the pressbox. Sorry for rant, just choked. Aprreciate your daily blog Bill, best on HB
