Thank you Carol!
It might just be me, but I don't remember a team that has looked like they have dominated the Canucks more in the last few seasons than the Sharks. Really hoping they can rebound tonight and make a game out of it. |

From last page...
Because the Canucks typically use between 11 and 15 different players on D over the course of a season, so burning a 5th for someone who didn't make it first time around but has had recent success in KHL was one way to get a little extra security. They probably could have had an equivalent player via free agency, so in hind sight it looks like a poor decision. - 1970vintage

Feb-Mar are going to be double-tough months.
We'll see Hank if it's 'no fluke we are where we are'.

Yeah. For two years heading into the SCF we had their number. Now it's almost a foregone conclusion we're getting an L. |

Tough matchup for the boys as San Jose is a great team, hopefully Miller (if he's playing) can stand on his head a bit (hockey pool) and shut them out! |

Without sounding like a whiner, but on any given night, the Canucks could lose just as easily as they can win against most opponents. The Sharks are one of those teams that its safer to assume they will lose than win.. Sucks but they are just a far superior team. |

Injuries include Dorsett, Guddy, Hansen, Hutton, and Rodin. I don't expect those injuries to be the last. It's a losing battle. Admirable, but it's a lost cause. |

So...
I have not done any back-reading so not sure if this has been discussed, but I wonder what a coach like Hitch would do for a young, rebuilding team?
What would he do for the team's 'respectability'?

Yeah I have to agree this is where reality is going to set in big time. This is just no more than an 80-85 pt club. |

Several teams where interested in Larsen including Edmonton. It was a smart trade even after his sub par season. We needed depth and it was a worthwhile gamble. |

Based on reports and interviews I'll go back to the position that JB is not making any moves at TDL. Vegas exposure will be dealt with later. But no rental buying or selling. The value for JB is the experience for the younger players of competing for a playoff spot. Making games relevant no matter how far back or unlikely the goal.
The development of players under the pressure of tighter games is the goal. Making the playoffs is a great reward but not expected. If they do well great. More gains with development.
JB believes that the same skill and talent of top 3 picks is available up to 20 spot. It only takes longer for them to develop. So message is that there are no signature players here this draft. Placing is not so important. But it's an important draft where he will be adding talent to make team younger and faster. |

I can't even comprehend a defenseman scoring that frequently. Mind blowing |

Thanks Carol,
It's nice to hear Burrows talk about the energy in the room and sense of optimism although I do take it with a bit of grain of salt as these things are usually said when things are going well.
If we go through a rough stretch during this tough part of the schedule, I hope the environment can stay positive. |

In the Canucks for Kids tweet, it looks like Daniel (or Henrik) is holding the mic while Stecher is reading from a piece of paper... |

If that's directed at me
Has it been mentioned by anyone? I think it's a great discussion point. |
