they exceeded expectations , I say they only need to find a backup and a serviceable defensman ..... aside from that like I said earlier this year, Jarmo shouldn't go crazy at the TD.

1. Get injured defensmen healthy
2. Need one more offensive player who can score.
3. Need an offensive defenseman for spot duty when Werenski runs out of gas late in the season and needs a game of two off to rest before the playoffs.

Expensive rental (1st + 4.25 million) for a team that most people wouldn't consider a serious cup contenter this season.

I'm not saying it wouldn't make me happy, but the way the team is playing the last few weeks I am just not sure it makes the most sense at the moment. Especially, since I think the price for Shatty is going to be higher than that. The rumors are that STL wants a 1st, a prospect, and a roster player.

I would happily give a first, milano and hartnell's contract for Shatty and a chance to resign him in the off season.
