On pace for 42 points from nuge is brutal
Even with a solid two way game
I can totally live with a 2c that is sound defensively even hovering just at 50-52.
But low 40's? There's really no way to excuse that kind of production from a player of his supposed stature |

Its gonzoGonzo. He is dressed up like J Depp in fear and loathing.
BUT I am sure soon enough you bastards will win another avi bet and you will see the other. We had a good run beating your asses while it lasted. |

But it's not just Nuge. It's anyone not playing on McDavids line or on Pp with McDavid.
Drai and Maroon are both pretty bad away from Conner too.

Leon had 17 in 23 gp before being moved permanently with Connor.
That's on pace for 60.
Obviously unconscious with Connor (29 in 27) but still.
Looch has struggled without him no doubt.
Ebs struggled even with him before he was moved away. ( he still on pace for 50+ though |

Okay I can totally see how Maroon has benefited from being McDavids winger, but where are the numbers suggesting Draisaitl has been poopty?
Also I can't help but wonder why everyone is always giving McDavid all the credit. Don't get me wrong, I freely admit he is worth all the hype, but perhaps he is doing so well because those around him (Draisaitl in particular) make him better as well.
Connor does a lot of heavy lifting but I don't think he's doing it alone. |

Drai is some hot stuff with or without Connor. He brought it last year and hes bringing it again this year. |

Seems extremely unlikely we get Shatty.
If we did get Shatty I imagine Nurse gets sent down because he can be, needs ice time, and what we have right now works. Russel moves down but probably not in all situations. Davidson hits the bench and is ready if anyone falters.
If we don't get Shatty I imagine Nurse gets sent down because he can be, needs ice time, and what we have right now works.
Nurse was inconsistent in his season before getting injured. Started poor to middling, had a great stretch of hockey (majority), ended poor to middling before injury. I would suggest he gets sent down at least for a conditioning stint. During that time he can battle with our absolutely ridiculous depth of left shooting bottom pairing defenseman to get a call back. Right now I would personally take Reinhart over Nurse from what I've heard about Reinhart's recent level of play.
Sucks for Nurse to loose a spot due to injury when overall playing well in a bottom pairing role, but if you have the depth that is performing/and wining the way it has been I think it would be a mistake to mess with it. Davidson overall has had neither the highs nor the lows that Nurse has had this season and is the safer bet. |

A solid two way center that gets 40+ points playing against the leagues best isn't that bad. With a 6 mil price tag its kinda rough but I am less inclined to worry about that as long as we are winning and the Nuge is clearly part of that formula. |
