Add Schneider, C. O'reilly, and about 400 other AHL guys to that list.

Bailey is developing quite nicely. He should be on the roster F/T next season.

heard...

he's 21 and has shown real nice year-over-year development...i'd say that's pretty solid for a second-round pick

Watched Rochester the other night, Bailey is a man amongst boys there. He's sort of stuck between dominant AHL'er and part time NHL'er

the key is getting these kids on the top 3 lines

if the coach is going to have them play 8 minutes a night on the 4th line, they are better off calling up the cor's or schneiders

bailey, baptiste, nylander, asplund, pu

lesser extent carrier and fashing

hurley is an ex factor, as he has stepped it up a bit this year

estephan may also turn out to be decent

lw prospect depth is really bad with this team

nylander

william, murray, hagel

it would be much better if lemieux and compher were in the mix

A poster on a Sabres message board I frequent lives in Alberta and went to a few Red Deer games and wasn't too excited about him. He said he is very small and it shows and he took a few bad penalties, a bit of a hot head. Now that was only a few games but the kid did have a 6 point game recently. I think he could develop into a real nice prospect. It was an interesting take though and the guy saw him in action.

I know he hasn't really gotten an extended look and perhaps a bit unfair but from what i saw of him during the looks he got with reinhart and kane it wasn't overly promising. Just can't seem to put it together right now. hes still young though, maybe just a longer learning curve.

To be fair, Reinhart and Kane did next to nothing together

he's 6 ft tall so i dunno who the (frank) that guy was watching Could he put on some weight? absolutely. Maybe a hot head but he's got that edge to his game. The guys who cover the prospects regularly speak pretty highly of him

Point taken, but you see where im coming from.

Id like to see him given a chance, but i wonder if hes one of those younger players that has more value in a trade (theres been lots of interest over the years) than to this team.

If you're not going to give him the chance or you think he doesnt have what it takes why hang on to him?

Yeah, I think I just totally disagree with you on Bailey.

He looked so much better than Fasching, Baptiste and Carrier to me over the summer in the prospects and 3 on 3. He torched Borgen and Guhle all day in the scrimmage.

I think he needs to play on a line with speed and see what happens

Well it was bound to happen eventually

I don't remember anything from the summer scrimmage so there's that too.

Maybe because he's not big in terms of weight he looks small, not sure. The 6 point night was very impressive.

I mean, if they traded him as part of a package to get a top pairing guy, so be it, but if I were to bet, I'd say he's more than a 4th liner.

That was a big time goal he scored on the King. I guess you can't fall in love with a player over one goal, but that opened my eyes. Damn near had another on him too. I think if you're going to score goals in the NHL, you better be able to score them in the AHL if you're there and he's doing it.
