I think it is...in my opinion they are less than a year behind Edmonton and 2-3 years ahead of Buffalo. I wouldnt be trading away first rounders anytime soon, but I would be looking to add veterans to round out the roster as soon as this summer. I think they make the playoffs this year and will be poised for a run.

Here in Vancouver, Windows never fully open, but every 15-17 years they reach 97% openness.
Windows never quite close either.

We basically just keep paying a premium on our utility bills and always end up having to wear a sweater because we're just too stubborn to close the $#&+ing window all the way.

Well anyway, as I posted earlier, I think the Leafs are doing it right,and are gonna be dynamite very,very soon...if only you could nab a Hedman or Doughty in the next year or so...Keith might be available in a year or so.

Agreed their not close enough and they need to draft and develop! Maybe a free agent dman, and not shatty he's going to stay in the new York area imo, and a trade or two?

Perhaps, but I wouldn't become a buyer just yet. Don't think they will either, Shanny isn't stupid and anything playoffs and beyond is absolute gravy this year.
