yup, nice way to go into this break, compared to the last pre break set of games

I liked the way they competed tonight. Not perfect, but they fought through it.

Just remember that while most of us are happy at the All Star break with the team winning.....there are a few Flyers fans that are sad the team won because we aren't tanking and winning a pointless game in January means nothing when we won't win a Cup this year. Or probably ever.

Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Hopefully neuvirth gets on a roll before the deadline

Much better game cutting down on premium chances against. It is still quite an adventure exiting our zone. Now they look reluctant to use the middle of the ice Bc they haven't executed it well

Couldnt watch last night, but will check it out when I get home from work. Glad to see that Neuvy played well. Having both goalies playing well is a must if they want to get into the playoffs

I thought the Flyers played a solid game last night and as the game wore on i thought they looked even better.

Nice to see Luby get a goal! Love that bastard.

Did Matthews play last night? I heard Marner, Kadri, Nylander, and even Hyman a lot but can't remember hearing his name much. Great player yes, but very unnoticeable for the most part last night. Patiently awaiting the #fancy crowd to tell me how wrong I am on that.

Very well done game overall, really took over in the third. Toronto was faster than the Flyers, but the Flyers did a generally good job of limiting good chances for them.

Hakstal had last change at home and had Coots on Matthews all night. Coots led all forwards in ice time. They also put lots of pressure in the O zone. Thought Cousins looked strong last night. TK made some good plays coming back in the D zone. They looked strong last night. Loved to see it after the Ranger win. Nice way to hit the break.

Definitely starting to see some growth in Konecny's overall game.

Matthews was not a factor at all last nite... Similar to Giroux and Schenn. You wouldn't have know Schenn was dressed. Thought Provorov was great, watched game with a couple of Leaf fans and they even commented on his play.
It was nice to see the Flyers get that late go ahead goal for a change. Good effort

Also, aside from one play where he backed himself into a corner with 2 forecheckers (yet managed to muscle the puck to a forward), AMac had a very strong game last night. I don't like his contract or deployment in general, but he had a very nice game last night.

I thought Schenn hustled all over the ice, was physical and set up two excellent scoring chances as well.

Nonsense. Schenn's turnover in the d-zone led to the Simmonds goal. Also, just watched the replay: Polak just quit on that play, could probably have lifted Simmer's stick. Man he sucks.

But no, really, Schenn was actually pretty noticeable in the last 2 games. Still think he needs to get "greasier" if you will, but he hasn't been a passenger lately.

I actually got in a pretty heated argument with someone on Facebook (lol) about this yesterday during a very slow and boring workday. Guy also wanted to trade Ghost because "Ghost will never be a top pairing dman nor a PP QB" and that his contract extension would be too costly this offseason so we should trade him (along with Brennan and a 1st (lol)) for Landy who's contract ultimately would be more than Ghost now and when we would have to resign him couple of seasons.

I must have watched a different game because I thought the Schenn line had the most pressure and Schenn himself had multiple hustle plays including the driving pass to Giroux..

So, basically, you're saying that his value will never be higher and we should trade him now?

He also had an early turnover, but I agree. He's never going to be perfect and that would be an unfair expectation, but he's continuing to play solid hockey.

Matthews was kinda quiet last night it seemed. Marner and Nylander were impressive to see live. Seemed that a lot of times when I saw a big pressure play by Toronto last night it was by Nylander.

Provorov and AMac were strong but both had a couple moments when I had to hold my breath.

Loved Lyubimov getting a goal. Kid worked his ass off again when put on the ice last night.

It seemed that Jake was a little off last night. Not sure what is going on there but he had a few chances to go into Jake Beast mode and decided against them.

Liking the lines right now and I think MDZ and Weise might not see the ice for a while if this keeps up.
