Mrazek has lost his confidence, and I don't see him getting it back any time soon. Maybe Vegas can do us a favor in the expansion draft and take him off our hands. Coreau looks solid for the most part moving forward..Howard though is always a question mark. |

This genius wants to keep "Wildcard Howard" and unproven Coreau while leaving an elite talent like Mrazek unprotected during the Expansion Draft...
Am I living in an alternate reality where being a "fan" means that you hate the team, and people think their terrible ideas are any good..?
News Flash: If you don't already know; other than Howard right now, Mrazek is the only Starter that the Red Wings have in the system. Anywhere. No goalie we own the rights to is even close. If we lose Mrazek, we are the next pre-McDavid Oilers for the following 10 years. |

People forget Mrazek is still only 24 and even with this rough season his career save percent is still a respectable .914 |

For once I agree with two peice. It'd be silly not to protect Mrazek. I wouldn't call him elite by any measure but every player goes through bad seasons. Would we call Larkin a bust based on his meh season ? |

Yes. We all know this team is playing badly and have not adjusted well post datsyuk. Every goalie needs a competent group of players in front of him to equate to a good season. After losing Datsyuk and with promoting Ericsson to our number one defense, I'm surprised we aren't doing a lot worse. |

I prefaced it by stating maybe on Mrazek, not definitively, learn the difference. Right now, Coreau is the only one that I am capable of having even a glimmer of confidence in, based on the last few months.
And remind me again what Mrazek has proven in his career to give him a pass, other than first round exits...maybe I missed something. If so, he's proven as much so far as Curtis Joseph did during his stint here. |

It's not Mrazeks fault that our offense dried up like a desert in the last three off seasons. |

I love when lack of team success is blamed on the goalie. Dude has 3 shutouts in 10 career playoff games. |

I have full confidence that Mrazek will find his groove again. It's not a coincidence he won the Calder Cup as a rookie in Grand Rapids.
Good grief... look at the sorry team in front of him... you can thank Holland for that trainwreck of bad contracts and personnel. This team's lack of offense and impotent powerplay would kill any goalie's stats. And I won't even start on the how bad the defense is...
Once the Wings get more young talent I think Mrazek and Coreau will make a very solid goaltending tandem. The sad part is Las Vegas won't touch Howard with that horrible Holland-esqe contract.
On a brighter note... how about those Grand Rapids Griffins ?? Full props to Todd Nelson and crew for being one of the best teams in the AHL... without Mantha, AA, and Coreau. Impressive. Keep an eye on Evgeny Svechnikov... this kid is going to be great for the Wings. And it's only his first year pro in GR. |

I would love to see the likes of Svechnikov, Nosek, & Bertuzzi get a realistic shot at more ice time next season. Needless to say, we're still waiting on more ice time for the likes of AA & Mantha.
To rid ourselves somehow of the likes of Sheahan, Helm, Glendening, and others that have uselessly hung around for too long, and implement more youth and speed into the lineup, would be a welcome sight. First and foremost though, something that resembles a Defense is in much more demand.

Yep. It's just the offensive play went golfing before the actual players do each off season. |

"Maybe they can do us a favor..." Just because you said "maybe" doesn't make your statement(s) any less stupid. Regardless of how you worded your ridiculous post, Vegas would only be doing themselves a favor if they have the opportunity to acquire Mrazek. It would be doing the Red Wings a disservice. |

I don't know what makes you think I'm not calm. Are you agreeing with his opinion that Vegas would be doing Detroit a favor by drafting Mrazek? If so, you're as much of an imbecile as he is. I'll take being a Richard over being a retard any day. You don't have to be so sensitive, Francis. |
