Montreal does not have the pieces to make a trade for a quality player. They will add a UFA D and F to have depth going into the playoffs. Then they will pray for Price to stand on his head. They cannot afford to trade Sergachev.

A team like the Rangers with Defensive injuries shouldn't have to break the bank on a d-man to fill in and be a 2nd or 3rd line pairing when Staal returns. Look to the Sabres, we have a couple of relatively "inexpensive-to-get" d-men available.of Franson, Kulikov, and Bogosian have been circulating. (Don't anyone look at Gorges, he's not worth it, many of us are hoping Disco Dan doesn't bring him back from injury when he's healed up next week or so) If someone is interested in Gorges I would be happy to offer a 5th or 6th round pick for that team to take him.

Miller and Kreider where both given nice bridge deals last off season while Gorton let Yandle walk. No way he trades either of them for a guy who might cost the same and is only a year younger than Yandle. I don't see Shattenkirk to Rangers unless it's one of the older players going other way. Either Nash or Zucharello. Maybe Klein plus a couple of our bottom six forward? I really don't see him with Rangers unless he's extended. But not for more than 3-4 years.
