I'm completely indifferent about Shattenkirk. If they make a good trade for him without giving up too many futures and can sign him to a reasonable deal, then sure. If they have nothing to do with that outcome and he signs somewhere else then that's cool too.

I can definetivly see them signing him as an FA...

As for trade..the only move I can see is JVR for Shattenkirk plus a pick.

Not saying JVR is better than Shattenkirk but as a UFA his value plummets quite a bit

Teams go into the off-season with plans regarding FA's. Vegas needs to assemble a pretty complex puzzle between selecting from expansion + FA's. Who they take and leave on the table could really shift who teams prioritize.

LV is going to be horrible for a while. If any UFA signs there it's to make a (frank) ton of money or rejuvenate thier career.
