Taking Santini out would seem crazy. I was expecting Stollery to be the odd man out even though he's looked better then I expected. To me it's looked like Merrill and Severson have also played a more physical game with them in the lineup and it's nice to see the D no play so soft.

Wood is clearly a bit of a risk vs. reward player but he looks like exactly what the Devil's need.

Stollery...ugh...another mind-boggling example of how you can be a bottom-4 AHL d-man one day and the next be the Devils 2nd PP unit QB.

Would love to see wood get more shifts with better line mates.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if santini is sent down once Greene and Moore are good. No real reason, I guess it just wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah, it'd be consistent with how they've handled some others. It's almost their way of trying to keep the young guys humble.

Santini has been solid since he was called up I think stollery will be the odd man out

Yeah but Stollery is what, 29 years old? I'm not saying he's more deserving, but, to be blunt, the Devils have been careful with the prospects they care about. So sending Santini down wouldn't be shocking.

I agree they have been careful but there's no reason to send down a prospect when their playing good hockey if he was struggling even a little I could see him being sent down but he's been solid and with how terrible our defense was before he was called up I don't see them taking him out

Hey, I hope you're right. I like his game a lot and he's a much better option IMO than Moore, Helgeson, Stollery, Merrill.

BTW, I didn't notice how horrendous Severson's +/- is. Good lord. And, on a similar note, for all the bashing we do to Quincey the guy is actually tied for the lead in +/-. Yikes.

If Quincy were faster he'd be a pretty good defender in my opinion. A good portion of his mistakes are a result of him being too slow. Also your daily reminder that +/- is worthless.

Yeah, good point. It's usually more CGY/hotstove, though there are some Devils fans who like to rip me on twitter haha.

Fire and Ice reports that Greene and Moore will not be available for the next couple of games. I'd assume Haynes will be sticking with the same lineup.
