You don't really 'negotiate' with Connor, he'll get what he wants. But I have to believe he wants to win a cup at all costs. And that means saving space to surround him with other talent. It'll be right at the top of the salary spectrum no doubt, but they'll work something out that leaves room I think.
Ebs'll have to go at some point in favour of puju as well. That's big savings.

I don't think it's anywhere near panic situation.

Pouliot has been great over the last little bit, but subtraction of him, ference and fayne is like 11 million freed up in itself

Bishop is the guy you should chase for sure.

They'll prob ask your first tho. And fair enough.
There's probably at least a few teams out there with a higher pick potentially, still willing to pay that with confidence he'll resign
