I hate it when our goalies play blow average. Anything sub suck average is not acceptable. |

Great bounce back from the team last night. That was the 1st time in quite some time that they actually looked like the team that won the Cup. Dominating in the Ozone, smothering in the NZ & DZ which led to a light workload on the goalie who made the saves he needed to make despite the limited workload. Now the real test is can they be that team 2 games in a row? I don't expect them to be able to maintain that level consistently over an 82 game run but I would like to see them string together 3-5 game stretches where they play at that level consistently. |

I wonder if there is any correlation to a team playing well defensively and the goaltender playing well?
Nah... Probably not. MAF just sucks. |

Isn't that when it might be a chick, but kinda looks like a dude, so you just call it Pat because you don't know? |

Was reading Andrew Saadalla's column about the Habs trading for Duclair. How 'bout Pouliot for Duclair. Two highly touted prospects currently failing with their current teams. Thoughts?

Cool trophy but I'd like it better if they called it the "Tanger."

Nah, I'd rather just keep Pouliot and hope for the best. Unless they find a bonafide 2nd pairing Dman and package DP for him |

This last go-around with the Pens really soured me on DP. Kid looked completely lost in a fast game. I think it's telling that DP remains in the AHL while we're down our top pairing defense.
Duclair on the other hand would be a perfect fit here.
I don't see DP as anything more than a throw-in for a good 2nd pairing Dman. You're looking at parting with guys like Sprong and Guentzal to get that kind of player.
Edit.... Also, it would be delicious for Duclair to thrive here and torture the Rangers. |

I'd rather just let him marinate in the AHL. See what happens with him next season TBH. |

Not directed at you in particilar, but there's a few people who, 4 years from now, might be saying, "He's played well in spurts, and he's only 27. Defensemen need time to mature. Give him time, he's a great prospect." |

Just because we haven't spoken about them for a while (analytics ), are the Kings still the darlings of analytics?
I remember when they won everyone was saying they won because of analytics?? Is that still the case or have the analytical world pissed them off due to them losing now?
I love that about the stats world - ride a winner, crickets for a loser! |
